Surprising Scenery Monday - The Conclusion

Hello, everyone!  It's me, Cammie, here with the rest of our photos from our walk to the moon.  Mags and I hope you enjoyed our first two posts in the series.  (If you missed them, you can click here for post one and here for post two!)  Before I get started, though, I'd like to wish each and every one of you a very happy and festive Siber Monday!  It's bitterly cold and windy here today (windchill in the single digits or below), so it's the perfect day!  We already started celebrating with a nice, long walk.

OK.  Back to the moon!  We last saw Maggie inside some big shovel thing.  While she checked it out, I went on ahead and discovered a big pile of moon dust! I called out to Mags and she went over to check it out!

"Let me have a look at this, Cam!"
"Be careful, little one!"

She's such a brave, confident puppy!  She just plunges straight ahead.  But what if there had been a moon creature there?  Or a giant cat using the moon dust as a litter box?  You just can't be too careful!

"Nah.  It's safe, Cam.  Just moon dust.  Tastes sort of like sand."
"So moon dust doesn't taste like cheese, either?"

As exciting as walking to and on the moon was, the whole lack of cheese thing was a bit disappointing!  THEN I discovered that not everyone actually WALKS to the moon!

"Mags, look!  A space capsule!"

We've seen other space capsules here and there in our neighborhood -- so we knew what they were right away!  This told us one thing:

"Multiple space capsules, Cam!  You know what that means!"

Clearly we weren't the only ones on the moon!!!

We walked a bit further, through some sort of dry vegetation, then came upon a well-manicured area. Maggie found something of note!

"Look, Cam!  A tiny hat!"

It was odd.  Sitting right on the shortly-cut vegetation - two hats.  One-dimensional hats.

"Either we're dealing with small-headed, one-dimensional moon creatures, or ... "

... or else we were at Colbert Hills Golf Course.  Hmm.

IMG_2490MagsCamCHGC
"Well, that Alan Shepard dude played golf on the moon, so we could still BE on the moon!!!"
"We certainly could be.  Wait!  What's that behind Mom?"

You just never know.  Besides, it makes more sense for a golf course to be on the moon than to put a moon beside the golf course, doesn't it?

Thanks for coming to the moon with us!

Cammie!
