Sidewalk Surprise Saturday!

Ha roo, pups and cool cats!  It's me - Zim!  So there we were, out on our morning walk...

DSCN2229 Zim spots a cicada
"JACKPOT!!!"

I couldn't believe my good fortune!  Right in my path - a huge bug!

DSCN2228 Cicada
Cicada - or in the Latin, Snackus Siberius

Known in some parts of the world as the Cicada, they are known as tasty, crunchy, noisy snacks in the Siberian world! ...if you can get to it before your mom or dad.

True, I missed pouncing on that one...

DSCN2233 Zim
"Catch you next time, bug!"

...but Dad wasn't quite fast enough when I spotted one earlier in the walk!  Ha roo roo roo!

Isn't it great when you can combine two fun activities - snacking and walking?!?!  What a great start to the weekend!

Play bows,
Zim

  6. Hmm....you might use the 'guilt trip' thing on your mom and get some stinky snacks. Works every time for me.

  10. Our mommy called those locusts when she lived in Kansas. We've never seen any since they don't live here. Maybe the treat companies can add them as a new flavor!

PeeS: Snackus Siberius made our mommy laugh and laugh and laugh!

  11. Well, what ever you call them, I am so hungry right now, I could eat a ton of them. How about boxing them up and sending them my way.

    Bert

Oooopps My Vickie just said that I can't have them.....so if you send them address them to "Beware" Do Not Open unless your name is Bert"

    Yep, she'll never know......

  13. Howdy Zim!

Addie LOVES to catch and eat those! The crunching sound makes our mom cringe. HAHA

With all of our heat they are becoming really hard to find now. Addie, is not pleased.

    Hope you find more Zim!

    Big Hugs & Kisses...

  18. Oh, yes, we love those crunchy snacks. When we get really invaded (the once every 17 years really, really big invasion), the humans should just stop trying to feed us anything else.
