It's very hard for Mom to find toys that can be left down, for free access all the time. Maggie can chew through the black, toughest traditional KONGS in a matter of minutes -- that should give you an idea of what Mom's up against. She actually thought I was a super-chewer before we adopted Mags. Anyway, Mom did some reading up on these toys by West Paw Design - the Zogoflex line - and thought they might stand up to Maggie.
And me.
I got to play with the Zogoflex Tux.
"Here it is!" |
It's sort of like three connected balls. There's a space in there where Mom COULD put a really big cookie if she wanted to. Ahem. Just a thought.
Maggie got a Zogoflex Jive! It's a solid ball with some contouring to it.
"I like this!" |
Mine is fun to chew on. Maggie's is, too, plus Mom can throw it and it takes all these whacky bounces. It keeps her busy and interested! I mean Maggie - not Mom.
We got to play with them again during TV time last night - and Maggie chose to play with the Jive ball over watching a show with Vikings in it! That says a LOT about how much she likes it!
"I just love this Zogo---WAIT! Is that Uhtred?" |
Well, it held her interest more than other toys. And who could blame her? The Last Kingdom was on!!!
And me? I actually really like the Zogoflex Tux!
So far, they're holding up really well, so Mom is pleased. They could well make the cut as "leave down all the time" toys! If you have pups who are very hard on toys like we are, you might want to give these a try! They come in other shapes, too, but Mom thought these stood the best chances with us. You can find the Zogoflex Tux and Zogoflex Jive lots of different places, to include Chewy.com and Amazon.com. Oh. Another thing Mom likes is that she can stick them in the dishwasher if they get funky!
We purchased these toys on our own; they are not a part of any free offer. We just thought we'd tell you about them because it's hard to find "durable" toys that really ARE "durable".
Are you hard on toys? Are there any recommendations you would make? We'd love to hear about them!
Cammie!
Those are colorful toys! Glad you both like them! We tear apart our faux mousies but that just makes it more fun to leave pieces around for Mommy to step on in the middle of the night!
ReplyDeletePeeS: That other show with the Vikings on it yesterday was not very good at all was it? Our daddy said lots of HBO words because he really, really, really is fed up with the QB. We'd tell you what he said but we're ladies. :)
The mouse my grandma gave me for Christmas last year has almost lost his stuffing. Does that count?
ReplyDeleteThese are just great toys. Hunter doesn't chew his up, he does chew on his stuffies but generally is pretty good with them. Our last heart dog, Sadie could destroy any toy quickly and these would have been good for her. Thanks for sharing. WE just put in another order to Mr.Chewy as we area almost out of treats.

Noreen and Hunter
Great ideas - thanks for sharing. Ciara loves a tennis ball but she shreds it in seconds and then tries to eat it. We have a couple of toys that look like those Zogo thingies but Mom can't remember the name. We must admit that our favorite toy is each other:)

We always like finding toys that are Sibe Mom approved...then we can try them for Jakey BOL!

our mom loves the West Paw Design toys. they have some fun cat nippy toys we like and Wriggley is a fan of their plushy toys. they have a guarantee on their Zogoflex toys, if you pups do chew through them (we think it is only a one-time deal) plus you can recycle them. Ok, our plug is over :) Wriggley suggests peanut butter or stinky goodness plus kibble for inside your Tux. Have fun with your new toys!

ReplyDeleteThose toys look super! I have a basket full of toys, balls and bones a stuffies and I love them all and only occasionally tear a whole in a stuffy. And Nala has no toys and cares not a wit about anything except tearing the covers off tennis balls!

Jessie can chew up some supposedly pretty sturdy toys, so Momma might have to look for more durable things! Fortunately she's left all my OLD toys alone -- she only chews up the NEW things that come into the house! (Check out my post today to see what she and I did to Mr. Blue Jay. BOL!)
