Anyway, Zimmie wrote about our walks and adventures and sort of a sub-point he made was that we always GO on walks (rain, snow, sleet, dark of night, etc.) but Mom doesn't always bring the camera or iPhone along. Something about we're easier to dry off than the Nikon. We don't mind wet and wind and fog and things like that one bit! The only conditions that stop us from going are lots of ice (a little is do-able) or close-by lightning. (Sadly, the year we moved in to Ao4 HQs, a woman was struck by lightning and killed not far from our house; we are always very careful now!)
SO... sometimes Mom does take the camera or iPhone out when the weather conditions are less that perfect and ... well ... the photos come out like this:
That's me and Zim on a foggy morning in the deep snow. Could you tell? Hee hee hee! Now maybe you know why even though we do go on our walkies ... the camera doesn't!
That photo is in the "out-takes" file, along with others. You see, even when the conditions are great for photos, we have more of those "out-takes". Here's one from a walk Dave, Zim and I took with Mom.
Mom thought she'd be clever and bring cookies so she could get a good picture of us. Hee hee hee. Nice try, Mom! Oh - right. Too bad Davy isn't sticking his tongue out, too - otherwise it wouldn't be in the "out-takes", right? Hee hee hee! Well, here's the next one Mom took:
Hee hee hee! Mom is really thankful to have digital photography.
Hee hee hee! Way to go, you guys!
Ha woo!
Hey, I wonder if my kit-cat friend is down there?
We'll help Mom take more pictures today. I wonder how many will end up in that "out-takes" file? :)
Love,
Ammy
Hey guys,
ReplyDeleteMy mom struggles with her camera too. She is a little 'slow' if you get my hint. hehe.
Bribes are the best aren't they! They work SO WELL!
Wags and Woofs,
Mack and Mia
About 49.5% of my Mom's pics wind up in outtakes. She gets mad at me because I move as soon as I hear a click! Bad pix!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Stella
It's great that you get to go walking almost all of the time. That's horrible about the woman that got killed by lightning. I'm scared of it. I think your mom is doing a great job taking pictures with all of you!! I have trouble getting a good picture of just one dog!!! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly
ReplyDeleteplease, please, please dear Ammy, do not mention under any circumstances, cameras, computers, videos, blogs, to my Jeannie.
ReplyDeleteShe is ready to put the AXE through the computer here. She actually took some really good (even though she barks it herself!) videos of me on my Walkies today. But the computer is not playing ball, or uploading balls, or uploading videos, or well......in fact it is just sitting there looking at her.
Useless piece of junk which it is!
I digress as usual.
I am most enamoured of your photos on today's post, they are beautiful, though the foggy one looks a wee bit......creepy. But creepy in a nice way.
I have barked on too long now,
Happy Monday to you all!
love and licks, Marvin xxxxx
Ha-woo woo woo, are woo sure the one from the walk with cookies isn't your "take-out" picture instead of your out-take picture?
ReplyDelete~the clever Miss Moo
PS (did woo like that, Ammy?)
Ammy, we find it is best to keep the human motivated.
ReplyDeleteThis works best when they struggle to get good pics.
Look at how happy they are when their pics come out - when everyone is looking the same way at the same time - when nobody has their tongue sticking out or their nose squint!!!
We reckon you guys are doing a great job making walks more of a challenge for your mom.
We are really glad you are being careful of the storms - that was a scary story about that poor lady.
We also go out in all weathers - we find it character building!
love and kisses
Martha & Bailey xxx
Wooos! we have a lot of out takes too, and we walk at night, and her pictures never come out, oh well, I like the tongue shot!
ReplyDelete~puppy kisses~

Yepper, pups are much easier to dry off than electronics.. You do have some really nice pictures in the out-takes folder though...

We think your out-take pictures are pretty good! You should see the ones our mom comes up with! Ayeyiyi
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,

You pups are too clever for words. My mum is laughing and laughing; I have no idea why :)
ReplyDeleteHuffs
OH I love it! The photo of Dave sticking his tongue out! And the one of the fluffy tails! Woo all have so many wonderful adventures!!
ReplyDeleteMya Boo Boo
Hi, Ammy!
ReplyDeleteEven your out-takes are pawesome!
My mom has deleted millions of them... i thing she takes more bad ones than good ones!
Happy Monday to you all!
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
That foggy picture is very atmospheric :-)
ReplyDeleteWizz

Hey D-A-S-Z (Dave, Ammy, Storm, Zim)but pronounced DAISY. navy guys love acronyms,
ReplyDeleteOur dad can take foggy picture like you showed even on bright clear sunny days, we don't know how but he can.
You are hereby notified that you are "tagged" in our blog post tomorrow (Tuesday 3-16-2010) so you'll need to read it.

foggy picture actually turned out pretty stylish!
ReplyDeleteFor me, I love teasing my Pops. I'll start doing something really awesome, and when I see him reach for his iPhone, I just start sitting and staring at him.
ReplyDeleteThat's what you get for not feeding me human snacks, Pops! Learn from the Ao4's human and get some food ready!
Sonic
Foggy pics, now that's something unique and different!
ReplyDeleteThat's scary news about the woman being hit by lighting, very sad too..
Thanks for sharing the out-takes!!
I think they're very natural and personally i like it!
Cheers,
Maxx
Wonderful pictures, guys! Your mom did a grrreat job!
ReplyDeleteLuv,
Riley and Star.
Your out-takes are better than our in-takes! We sure hope your kit-cat friend comes back for a visit Zim!
ReplyDeleteWow - love that foggy photo! Furry mysterious! Our pix also average about 50% heheh! But love seeing you on your walkies Ammy! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHugs xo
Sammie
We have lots of those out-takes here! Especially when dad is running the camera. He's not very good at it.
ReplyDeleteHolly
Our hu-dad says he tries to keep it below a 10:1 ratio - ten outtakes for every decent picture. We challenge him on that all of the time.
ReplyDeleteYou take great pics, while Dad just takes grrrrr pics! Good to catch up with your blog! Am looks great as does everyone! XO, Mati
ReplyDeleteI love the tongue pics! Mom loves tongue pics and is always trying to get mine, but I'm smarter than her! :) She rarely gets them!
ReplyDeleteYou pups must be soooo well behaved on the leash! Mom doesn't like to take pics of me on our walk. Something about dropping the camera since I love to pull! :)
Mochi
I am an outtakes kind of girl. I love these photos. :)
ReplyDeleteOOh - I actually think that first photo is gooooooorgeous!! Very arty and atmospheric!
ReplyDeleteps. you're so lucky to have humans who aren't "fair weather walkers". My humans are very good like that too (in fact, usually THEY want to drag ME out in the wind and rain and I don't want to go!!! Us Danes are quite fragile, you know, and might melt or disintegrate in bad weather! :-) ) - but I had some doggie friends back in Auckland whose owners wouldn't take them for a walk the minute there is a bit of rain or the sky looks a bit grey or whatever - it make Hsin-Yi so mad but she can't say anything coz they are "friends" and she doesn't want to be rude - but Hsin-Yi feels really strongly that if you decide to have a dog, then you have to commit to taking it out everyday, unless the weather conditions are really dangerous or there is some other reason like the dog is sick or special case or something.
ReplyDeleteOops! Sorry - didn't mean to rant! But anyway, you guys are lucky! And different weather conditions make things more fun!
Slobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
That foggy picture is great, but I do love me a good tongue wagging shot. Speaking of tongue wagging, we always love your updates Ammy :)
ReplyDeleteYou're sort of like the post office. Neither snow nor rain nor sleet nor hail keeps the Ao4 from going through!
