Let's have a look around, shall we?
Nothing like one of our spectacular Kansas sunsets to help you find your inner zen! Check this one out:
Storm over the Flint Hills |
Oh, sure. You might be thinking, "ZIM! There's a storm out there!" And you're right. There was. Here's the good part ... it made our temps drop a good 30 degrees for a few hours! It was wonderful! Us boys took Mom out in the rain and we all just stood there for a while until we realized standing out in the thunder and lightning might not be the best idea. It was really refreshing, though!
Remember the other day I shared a post with my friend Fluffy Black Cat? Dave saw her recently, too.
Dave and a zen-ful Fluffy Black Cat |
Doesn't she just look like she's thoroughly at peace? She was laying under our pine, watching birdies! I like laying out there, too!
Remember I told you that Dave and I got to go for a ride on National Stare At Your Biped Day? Mom kind of took another one of her "wrong turns" and we ended up ... well, we're not sure. But we saw this beautiful barn and cool horses:
It made all of us feel very peaceful! Here's the same photo with some cool effects on it:
Very Kansas-y!
How about another sunset?
That was from a couple nights ago. We didn't get any rain, but other parts of our area did. At least we got a nice sunset out of the deal!
Every time Dave and I go out front in the evenings now, we check for Fluffy Black, to see if she's out under the pines.
"There she is, Zim! Over in the Bully Cat's yard!" "She sure looks relaxed, doesn't she, Dave?" |
Look around today, everyone! I'm sure you'll find something serene, something to help you find that inner zen!
Play bows,
Zim
Very serene :-)
ReplyDeleteWho do those uninvited kittys think they are any how?

Wow! Your very own kitteh visitor! You are a couple of lucky guys! Your sunsets are very pretty, but Mom keeps mumbling about how you need a lot of humidity to get clouds and storms like that (Mom's all 'anti-humidity' even though she spend a couple of years in Missouri when she was a wee pup...). Still, very zen-like. I will go contemplate my navel now. If I had a navel, that is!

Wow, that is a post card now. Your human is very talented with pictures.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking us along on your walk/ride today.
We are going to go out later and try to see all the beautiful stuff around us too.

Lovely photos again today boys! We're glad your temps came down but wish you'd get some rain. Maybe next time. I'm beginning to think it's time you two get a kitty sisfur or brofur. Just sayin.
ReplyDeleteWoos,
Sadie
You know that we all enjoy seeing pictures of you two, but we have to admit that the barn is stunning. Looks like it has been there for hundreds of years.
ReplyDeleteMy mum loves the barn with the special effects photo! She is a sucker for a good barn photo. We don't get too many scenes like that around here.

Ohhh, the horse picture is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful barn!

Those horsies are so lucky to live in a beautiful barn like that!

Love ya lots,
