"We were right about here, Dave!" "Oh, yeah. Zzzz...." |
That's right! There has been so much work to do in Mom's Studio lately that both Zim and I are pitching in! On Day One, Zim kept an eye on the backyard, while I helped Mom sit on the floor and re-organize all of her sewing baskets.
"What's this, Mom?" |
Looks like ...
Ukrainian currency? Hmm. Not sure what that's doing in a sewing basket; good thing Mom has me here to help!
Our re-organization took a couple days. See, with all the changes in the living room, we "inherited" a shelving unit from there to hold all of our unfinished quilts and projects and stuff. Mom can't just move something like that in - she has to re-organize and clean the whole room. Zim, being a Drill Sergeant and a fan of everything being ship-shape, was all for it. We all worked so hard in there! Take a look:
Zim, Mom and me working |
Mom took a series of action shots of Zim. I HAVE to show you - you'll be so proud of his work ethic! Here we go:
Total cinnamon bun tail tuck |
Partial cinnamon bun tail tuck |
Snooter under the pressing table |
"Can you believe that guy!?!" |
Honestly, can you believe all that hard work?!?! I'm so proud of my kid brother! What a credit to the Working Breed class!!!
Do all of you pitch in and help around your house? Make sure not to over-do!
Luv,
Dave
we work hard laying on the chair and sofa and make sure they don't try to escape the house. Looks like you were both lots of help!!
ReplyDeleteOh yes! I help all the time....don't know if you can call it help -- but that's what I call it....ha ha! I think you have it completely down pat!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, that's our kind of work. We always work the same room mom is in. She calls underfoot work, and she likes it.
ReplyDeleteThe silvers and more
Oh YES I help ALL the time!
ReplyDeleteI help, cook, and clean the house (I always make sure the vacuum goes where it should), I help study, and clean the garage (I watch from the car).
When the yard needs mowing I am there every step of the way (it takes almost 2 hours to mow the whole yard). I am a BIG help. Maybe I should help out the Zim way, MOM might like that.
Blessings,
Goose

Where do you guys find all that energy to do so much?! Must be exhausting!
ReplyDeleteLove the "action" shots

Zim, you sure take the working breed thing seriously! Don't overdo it! Dave, your mom is very lucky to have you holding her down!
ReplyDeleteWe love to help our mom around the house...'cept she calls it *hampering*... whatever!
ReplyDeleteDave, our mom says Zim could put some of her work colleagues to shame! you both have an impressive work ethic :)
We like Zim's "partial cinna-bun tail tuck" job. Our doggy bro does that too and we thought it peculiar to him. Do you ever do that too? We hope neither of you over do it this week :)
Pip, smidgen, Minnie, Hollie
Zim sure puts in long days. He should pace himself.

Mango
I think we are still going to need help in our craft room! Mom got a good start at cleaning it out, and got distracted, so it is still a mess!
ReplyDeleteSam
I may be young, but I make sure to do all my chores. I wash the baby Sissy's face when she gets food on it, and I always help pick up the food she drops from her high chair. Oh, and whenever I'm available, I help to rinse the dishes before going into the dishwasher. It's tough being a good helper, but that just goes with being part of a family.
ReplyDeletePuppy Love,
Jasmine
Bet your mom sure is happy that she has you guys helping out around the house. :)
