The Outtakes

Hello, everyone.  It's me, Cammie.  Do you remember a while ago, Maggie showed you a photo of us on the front porch?  We were wearing bows and posing (or not) for a photo?  Right.  We thought today would be a good day to show you more about how that photo shoot went.

Mom worked really hard affixing bows to our collars.  I must say, neither one of us was thrilled with that BUT it meant we didn't have to wear anything on our heads!  AND Mom had treats.  Hey.  We're food-motivated.  I freely admit that.  (Also, Santa was watching.)  OK, once she got us to leave the bows alone, she hooked us up to the front door, then backed up for photos.  It went something like this ...

"I am not thrilled with the whole 'bow' thing, Mom."
"Stop pouting, Maggie. Santa's watching."

IMG_2599MagsCamChristmas
"Oh, yeah?  I don't see him ..."
"I can't even look."

IMG_2601MagsCamChristmas
"What?  Is he over in the bushes?"
"Maybe if I look cute and coy, he'll ignore someone who's misbehaving..."

Anyway, I finally convinced Mags to face front a bit and ...

"Oooh, look, Cam!  A new wreath!"
"Mom, you might try being a BIT more forthcoming with those treats!"

Mom took the hint and reached into her pocket ...

IMG_2606MagsCamChristmas
"Wait.  Mom.  You still have treats?"
"Can we please get the show on the road?"

I mean, come on. I had places to go, people to see. Or people I didn't want to see me with a bow around my neck ... but whatever. Mom came in for a close-up.

IMG_2607MagsCamChristmas
"I'm ready for my close-up."
"Whatever.  This is getting old."

Seriously. What could top that?  Oh.  Right.  Getting the Christmas trees and wreath in the shot, too.  Try again, Mom.

IMG_2610MagsCamChristmas
"I feel a pout coming back on."
"I am so ready to ditch this bow ... "

We did let her get the money shot - eventually.  We'll post that one on Christmas.  There may be another outtake or two in the works, too.

Are all of you forced into doing Christmas photo shoots, too?

Cammie!

  1. Personally, we were really thrilled that our Mom went with bows rather than silly things on our heads! Of course, our out-takes could fill entire books, so we think you two did pretty well!

  10. Wow, the real thing must be pawesome because there isn't anything wrong with these. Love those last few!!! Mom has been fighting a cold for weeks now so we have managed to escape the headgear and bows and whatnot. We are hoping she has forgotten.
