Deutschland 83

Greetings to all!  It's me, Maggie!  The other night, Mom and Dad were watching a spy/intrigue series - Deutschland 83.  It was a pretty cool movie, lots of action, subterfuge, suspense ... and some pretty unlikely things, too, but hey, it's a movie.  Series.  Whatever.

Mom sat on the floor with us for a while, but then moved up to the chair and ottoman with her quilt.  She looked comfy.  I mean COM-FY!

"No, Mags, but how can you read the subtitles like that?"

Oh.  Right.  The series is in German.

Like I'd NEED the subtitles.  Please!

    Who needs subtitles. Everybuddy know it goes in one ear in German, passes through your smart brain comes out the other ear translated!

    I think a comfy position is MUCH more impawtant than subtitles. Or, you know, your momma could've let you up on the couch WITH her so you could snuggle AND read.

    when mom watches movies with subtitles she turns up the volume so she could hear. WHY? She is READING the subtitles

    You're such a worldly Sibe! The only German we've heard is when our old not very nice neighbor would talk in German to her son about all the other neighbors. We figured it out when she said neighbors' names in English. She would not have made it as a spy. We all did a happy dance when she moved away!

    OMD, that looks FABulous! Germany has some good series! Butts Ma looooves the Swedish and Nordic crime series the bestest. They are hard to find here now that one of our PBS stations switched formats. sniff, sniff. Ma is gonna be on the lookout for this one! thanks for the head's up!
    NOws, I thinks that is a very comfy position...I would try that with Ma, butts I don't do the 'cuddly' (and she moves too much!). ☺
