More About The Straw People

Greetings to all! It's me, Maggie. I've told you about the straw people Cam and I see on our walks - and how that little one is all off by himself. I thought I should take it up with the bigger straw people when I saw them - maybe see if I could bring some family unity to the situation. You know, what with the holidays upon us and all.

"Hey!  Hey, straw people!"

I told them about their little relative all by himself out on the Hudson Trail, just sitting there all alone and everything.  And do you know what they said?

Nothing.

I know - right?  I let them have it!

"WOOOOOOOO!"

They had it coming.

"I could just de-stuff those big straw people, Cam!"
"Always looking out for the little guy, aren't you, Maggie!"

I gave my little friend the news when I saw him.

"So... I saw your people.  And yeah.  They didn't respond..."

Come to think of it, the little straw person didn't have much to say, either.  I told him he could have Thanksgiving at our house, though.  I hate to think of him being all alone.

Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher

  3. That's so thoughtful of you. But maybe he's going to go inside that big house behind him for Thanksgiving. He might not be alone, he just likes some quiet time to himself!

  4. Those straw peeps were sure rude when you were only trying to help. It's nice of you to look out for others, Maggie.

  5. BOL - how rude not to answer the royal Margaret Thatcher!!! Maybe that little straw person ran away hoping to find a more communicative family. Bet you could woo up quite the conversation for him.

  12. Maggie, that's very kind and thoughtful to share your Thanksgiving with the lonely little straw person. That generous thought deserves extra treats.
