"Wowzers, Cam! It's a blizzard!" "Oh, my!" |
Let me move closer to the door and get a better shot:
The view out the front door |
The wind was howling and the snow was falling! Where you see dark patches on the road and sidewalk? That's ice. And the yard flag was frozen in place. Actually it still is. Anyway ...
Being the rough, rugged, outdoorsy Siberians that we are, this is what Maggie and I decided to do:
"Nothing to see here, folks." "What?" |
Just kidding. I mean, we took Mom and Dad out to the yard for a bit, but that was it. Too much ice -- it just wasn't safe. Plus the sub-zero degree windchills and all. And the "near blizzard conditions". Anyway, we thought we should just veg out. Here's a short film of us (mostly Maggie) doing just that. You know. Vegging out.

Get it? "Vegging out" -- and we have our eggplant and artichoke?!?
"Maggie made me say that. I'm usually the straight man." "I did not, Mom did." "Oh, come on! It's funny! ... isn't it? Girls? Girls? Readers?!?!" |
See what I put up with around here!?
Stay warm and safe everyone! And remember, if it's too nasty out there, stay inside and veg out. (Happy now, Mom?)
Cammie!
AMAZING the difference 24 hours can make. Sounds like Kansas weather is like NC weather..if you don't like it wait 5 minutes it will change.
ReplyDeleteIt was 4 on Sunday 1/7.. in the 40's Monday and temps have climbed all week. We have 68 currently but it will be short lived as we have another arctic blast coming in tomorrow thru next week but hopefully not 4 ever again
Hugs madi your bfff
Wow a frozen flags. Ours are snowed in right now but we've never had one frozen in the air.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love toys that dispense treats! We're getting rain today. I wish it was snow!
ReplyDeleteAnd here we thought no snowy day could be too cold for Sibes! But we agree, lounging inside is always a good thing to do.

We had ice too, and the boy twin grandbiped was laughing silly at his frozen basketball net:) He tried to shoot a ball through and it got stuck.
ReplyDeleteWe love your veggies; we think Mom ordered us some fruit like it but we haven't gotten to eat/play with them yet.

That blizzard hit us overnight and now we have a foot of snow in our yard. We like the idea of vegging out too though.
