Cam and I got our harnesses on and headed out. Mr. Westlife ... um ... let's just say that based on this photo from when he was a kitten, we decided it would be best not to try to put him in one. Check it out:
"No!!! I won't do it!! I WON'T!!!!!" |
Yeah. He went off-lead.
So, here we are on the Trans-Oceanic Bridge:
"See that? All the water ... is gone!" "Lots of mud down there, though." |
"Yeah. Too bad we can't go stomping around in that! But the ocean ..." "I know. What do you think, Teddy? Teddy? Where the heck ..." |
At that point, we started to think maybe we should have insisted on a harness ... but then we heard him call us from the other side of the missing ocean. We skirted around the mud pit that was once a lovely ocean and found him on this gravel path!
"C'mon! What's keeping you two? Oh, right. Leashes." "Yeah. We can't trust Mom and Dad to be off-lead." "Enough about that! Did you find anything?!!?" |
Mr. Westlife found a whole bunch of digging machines over there! He did a lot of investigative stuff and a lot of "uh-huh"-ing and then said he needed to go check the ocean floor. Mom said we weren't allowed to go play in the mud examine the scene with him, so he said we should go on back to Ao4 Headquarters, get some rest, then meet him back over on the other side later in the day.
Stay tuned - I think Mr. Westlife will have the Case of the Missing Ocean wrapped up in no time!
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher

We just got around to reading blogs and we are so excited see if you all can find out what is going on with the Kansas Ocean! And that Kitty-kat friend is pretty darned helpful and is EVERYWHERE!

I hope that Teddy can solve the mystery and the Kansas Ocean will soon be full of water again, but I don't like the look of those digging machines. They don't bode well for the future of the Ocean - unless they are making it bigger !

My angel brother Scribbles used to walk in a harness and leash! But yeah, probably Agent Teddy needed to be off-leash to more thoroughly investigate.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your results.
ReplyDeleteCats are great investigators mainly cause they can sneak in and out of places w/o being seen
ReplyDeleteI'm on the edge of my seat waiting....
Hugs madi your bfff
We haz no doubt Mr. Teddy will get you an answer very soon!
ReplyDeleteHow do digging machines replace the Ocean's water? I can't wait to hear more!
ReplyDeleteWe can't wait to see what Teddy found out!!

Hmmmm,it seems pretty unfair to us that kitties, uh FBI agents, get to run off leash and go wherever they want, and we, very wise Sibes, have to tethered to a human!!! But maybe Teddy's research will be successful and he will get to the "bottom" of the missing Kansas Ocean:)

I would just like to point out that it's okay for me to visit the ocean floor as I have learned how to swim so if the water comes back suddenly I will be okay.
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't do harnesses.
So close to finding out the answer, can't wait. ~nose nudges Belle Pup
ReplyDeleteNothing gets past a kitty so we have no doubt he'll get this mystery figured out soon!
ReplyDeleteooh! this is getting all suspenseful and exciting! Maggie, we think you and Cammie should have been able to play in the mu...er...we mean ASSIST Agent Teddy with the investigation of the ocean floor.
