"Nice mulch job, Mom!" |
Please note the new mulch! (For more pix of pretty much winterized/empty garden beds and fresh mulch, we uploaded photos to our Garden 2018 album at this link.)
The only thing blooming out front are these guys:
They don't bloom long, but they are a great burst of color when they do!
Let's see what Maggie is doing out back, OK?
I thought I'd join her on the wall for a pose.
Oh. In that photo above, you can see some of the sedum coming to life, in the left-hand corner of the shot. I think that one is the Blue Spruce Sedum.
Anyway, we ran around and played for a bit, then did some more posing. Here we are on the retaining wall:
More different sedum right there in front of us! Mom thought we should move away from the retaining walls for some reason, so we headed up to the Friendship Garden. The sedum plants are coming in up there, too.
Honestly. She's like my very own puppy to me -- no way would I let her do something crazy! ... without joining her myself.
We messed around some more got in a quick round of Crazed River Otter Games walked around enjoying the gardens a bit more, then struck a pose by the Texas Quince.
Mom took a closeup of the Texas Quince with her iPhone and caught a bee in there! Check it out:
