Our pink Lily of the Valley are in bloom out here!
Aren't they lovely? Years and years ago, Mitch and Molly's mom sent them to our mom, so they're extra-special! We have white ones, too, but they aren't blooming yet.
Over around the corner, our Mohican Viburnum is in full swing.
There's a long-standing joke here at Ao4 Headquarters about that bush, started by our great-sister Ammy. It would seem we used to have three Mohican Viburnums, but the other two didn't make it, so now this one is the ... last of the Mohicans. Ha roo roo roo!!!
Here's a close up of one of the blooms:

And this...
"Hmm... what's this?" |
... looks remarkably like a dead Liriope to me.
"Well, it does!" |
Sorry, but it's true. Oh. And behind me in that shot above are the Korean Dwarf Lilacs. They aren't doing much yet, but they sure are tasty.
OK, let's move out back to find something a bit more serene.
Here's a look at our Yorktown Snow Flower Tree:
No snow yet.
How about the Day Lilies?
Nope. Nothing. Our garden is way behind the power curve! We need to add some serenity to the yard and to this post! There's only one thing to do!
"Throw the ball, Mom! Throw the ball!!!" |
Seriously! I'm a puppy! What could be better than zooming around the garden with a toy?!?
ZOOM! |
And some more!
ZOOM! |
Oh, that was fun! I got really tired - which made me (and for some odd reason my mom) feel really serene! I hope you find something today to help you enjoy the serenity of Sunday!
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher

It's too bad you can't have snow all year round but since you can't, your garden is a lovely alternative! We're glad you got to play a bit to help make your mom serene Mags!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful!!! We are always amazed at how gorgeous your yard is - can't say the same for ours. We remember when you first got those pink day lilies - they are just so pretty. Have fun, Maggie - Lightning is a big of a fetcher too.
