"Here" being on Eagle Pass Trail out at Tuttle Creek State Park. We were merrily hiking along when Dad spotted a Bald Eagle! He held our leashes while Mom crept a little closer (but not so close as to disturb the majestic bird -- remember, she shoots with a 600mm lens!). She saw the eagle perched high above:
He had just finished a snack and seemed quite pleased!

Then he took off in search of more fishies:

We looped back around via the road and that's when ...

See? There is something for everyone at Tuttle Creek!
I took a moment of quiet reflection at the River Pond ...
... then we headed home.

| "Oh, yeah, Cam. Ohhhhh, yeahhhhh!" |

| "I did, too!" |

I'm always amazed at the bald eagle pictures you get! Momma says she's never ever seen a live one out of the zoo.

ReplyDeletethose bald eagles are amazing - when we lived in Minnesota we use to see them all the time along the St Croix River.

Your mom takes the best photos ever-I think she should be published!!!!! We haven't seen many eagles here lately-probably getting ready to head elsewhere for the spring. I haven't been to our town lake yet to see if there are any nests. Great job!!!
