"How cool! For me, I assume?!!?" |
... but as the title of this post says, we have breaking news!
Oh. Right. Sorry, Mom. "Break" is a 4-letter word around here. Anyway ... to our story!
Guess what happened to Mom yesterday?!!? Here's a hint:
Orthopedic tech guy: "Bzzzzzzz...." Mom: "Never have I been so happy to see a man with a saw!" |
That's right - they sawed her cast off! They x-rayed again, then said she could go cast-free!!!!!!
Sing it with me! To the tune of "Born Free"!
"Cast free!!!
As free as the wind blows!
As free as the grass grows,
cast free to follow your hearttttt...."
OK, cast-free, but not splint free. She'll be wearing this for a month or so ...
"Don't worry. Dr. Mags will make sure she doesn't overdo." "YAY!!!" "Oooh, are we going to get Sibe fluff all over that thing!!! Let the coat-blowing begin!!!" |
Even more good news is that she can take it off to shower and for when she has her occupational therapy appointments! Needless to say, she is VERY, very happy!
Be sure to tune back in tomorrow to hear about my super-cool new mop!!!
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
Yay for momma! We thought dad brought home the tool to cut mom's cast off BOL

we bet that is a LOT less itchy...plus - SHOWERS!! YAY and the added bonus of velcro that will hold LOTS of Sibe furs
ReplyDelete*BTW - mom says that she doesn't think you girls would fit in the castle with the kittens :)
It is great that your momma got her cast off. I am sure she is feeling a lot better. Have fun with your new toy.

Yay for your mom! Black isn't exactly the best color when you girls have lots and lots of white furs!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pawesome day!! No cast for the momma, and a box for Mags!
ReplyDeleteYay! *does happy dance to the tune of Cast Free* Your mom must be so happy. I laughed out loud at your mom's comment that she had never been so happy to see a man with a saw. :-) I think fluff will make your mom's splint perfect.

Our mom had the exact same splint, and yes, it is a dog hair magnet! It has velcro, so it is super hard to get those dog hairs off!But anything is better than the cast!
