"Cam! Check these out!" "Whatever." |
Don't mind her -- she was a little bit ... mopey because she didn't want to go this way this morning. True, we went this way yesterday, but c'mon! There's always something new to see!!!
"Look at all that purple and pink!!!" |
Well, Mom and I liked it.
Right here at home, our Redbud Trees are finishing up, but still have little clusters of blooms on the trunk:

In full bloom are our Pink Lily of the Valley:
Our Maggie and Mitch Lily of the Valley |
You can read the special story behind them at this link. We love having flowers from our friends! Speaking of which ...
In addition to our M&M Lily of the Valley, we have regular white ones AND some large white ones from our friend Beth! They're in bloom, too!
Beth Lily of the Valley |
Not only are we growing some of Beth's Lily of the Valley, but as we showed you on our last Serene Scenery Sunday post, we planted some of her White Lilac cuttings a few years ago -- and it's blooming!!!
First blooms on our Beth White Lilacs! |
Our Old-Fashioned Lilacs are just about done for the season, but it still has some wonderfully fragrant flowers:
Can you almost smell the Old-Fashioned Lilacs?!!? |
Out front, our Dwarf Korean Lilacs are just getting started! Here's a shot of Cam beside those:
"I really wanted to walk past the Kansas Ocean today..." |
I think I'm going to need to cheer her up with some extra Crazed River Otter Games later on!!!
Moving right along, even though they haven't fully opened yet, they're already quite fragrant! Mom was giving them a little sniff - and I couldn't resist sticking my snooter in, too! Then ...
"Oh, yeah, Mom! Tasty, too!" |
We moved over to the other side of the yard after that. I have no idea why.
Anyway, over here, one of our favorites is about to bloom:

Those are the flowers in our neck of the woods this Friday; we hope they brought you some smiles. (If not, swing by later and join me and Cam in our round of CROG - that always makes everyone around here smile!)
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
Such pretty flowers! The lilacs are already done? They used to bloom about the time our mommy's school year ended but of course that was back in the olden days in KS.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhhhhhhhhh we just love how the red buds have wild sprouts everywhere! They are such pretty flowers and the leaves being heart shaped is special. You found lots of purrty flowers this morning
ReplyDeleteHugs madi your bfff
Now these are what we call FLOWERS ... lilac and lily of the valley are our total favorites, such wonderful fragrance (the human even buys soaps and lotions and candles in those scents!). We imagine Dory will love them so much. And a snowball bush: we haven't seen one of those in years and remember playing under their cool-dampness when we were little. A lovely and awesome post!
ReplyDeleteThose are lovely flowers, fur sure.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are so beautiful and we can almost smell the fragrance of the lilacs and lily of the valley! Mom misses her gardens in Northford a lot.
ReplyDeleteYou girls found some beautiful blooms to honor our pal Dory! BTW, your mom sure keeps that cast clean - well done!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Happy Friday Miss Maggie, I love seeing your flowers; I love Redbud trees but we don't have any. We have some creeping Phlox and also some Dwarf Korean Lilac, ours hasn't opened yet either. I love Lilac~probably because my mom loved it, but I doubt hers was the dwarf kind.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing; have a great weekend.

On our block right now, with a bunch of utility work I think the flower we see most often is "the orange cone". Thanks for sharing a beautiful walk.

As always, the most beautiful blooms at your place!!! Mom sighs with envy every time she sees that snowball viburnum. One day she hopes to have one,but some male pup is too much of a leglifting master for shrubs to do very well here:(
ReplyDeleteCammie - we hope you get to the Kansas Ocean tomorrow.
Woos - Lightning and Misty
It is sure springy and beautiful in your part of the world!

Those are all such pretty flowers. You are a few weeks ahead of us in your blooms.
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty flowers! Fanks for participatin in da Flowers for Dory blog hop.
ReplyDeleteYou have so many gorgeous Spring flowers by you, thanks for sharing them. And yes I can almost smell those gorgeous old fashioned Lilacs - I just Love the scent of Lilacs! The flowers growing right out of the trunk of that Redbud tree are pretty cool, we don't have any of those here. I have to say, I LOVE your gorgeous harnesses! They are super cute. Icy can't walk on a harness that isn't no-pull, she insists she is a sled dog and must Pull! So we have to have only no-pull harnesses that clip in the front. I wish we could get some really pretty no-pull harnesses but don't think they make them. Enjoy your day!

Thank you! Our harnesses are made by CTC Dog Gear; Mom made our matching leads and collars.

Our mom loves all your flower pictures! She wishes her garden looked as nice. We love our lily of the valley in our garden, so much so that we like to lay in it. Hahaha!
