Serene Scenery Sunday

Greetings to all!  It's me, Mags, here with Serene Scenery Sunday!  This week, it's all about the walks we took.  The following pix are from different walks on different days - we covered a lot of different, fun routes!

We went up some cool hills:

"I wonder what's beyond the crest of the hill!"
"Maybe something exciting!"

We walked beside calming meadows:

"I feel very serene, Maggie!"
"So do I!  It's so peaceful!"

We ventured into the woods:

"Lions and tigers and bears!"
"Oh, MY!"

No lions, tigers, or bears, but we DID see a coyote - but not in the woods. He was right in one of the neighborhoods! They are beautiful, but like all wild animals, we need to keep a safe distance between us and them.  We also saw a very large orange and white cat in a tree.

Here we are in one of the neighborhoods:

"We haven't gotten to go this way in a long time, Cam!"
"I know!  The slight warm-up isn't all bad, if it means longer walks!

We even walked all the way to CiCo Park this morning!

"This is so awesome!"
"This is so much fun - and look at that beautiful blue sky!!"

Unfortunately, the pop stand was closed:

"Let's blow this pop stand, Cam!  We can get some nice, cold water when we get home."
"Too bad - I really wanted a cherry soda!  Or grape!!"

We posed on some limestone chunks by one of the entrances to Hudson Trail:

Cam and me, being good girls!

That leg of the trail was incredibly muddy. Sadly for us, Mom and Dad decided we shouldn't venture down there. They have an entirely different concept of serene than we do.

Anyway - what a week full of fun walks!  Thanks for coming with us!  Cam and I hope you have a serene Sunday!

Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher

  4. You had a nice variety of scenery for your walks. We walked a lot too, Mom was thrilled with the sunny and not-so-windy days. We had a coyote sitting in our driveway a few months ago as we were headed home from a walk. Mom made us sit and stay a few houses away until Mr. C. decided to move along.

    Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

  9. That looks like a super long walk! So fun! My mom is taking me for longer walks too, but I thinks it's just because she want me to lose weight!

  10. Wow, what a pawesome walk!! For some reason, on the days that I most want a nice long walk and really pull Momma along to show her, she keeps telling me "don't pull!" and cuts it short. BAH!
