The north tiers are much easier to access than the ones on the south side - we have stone steps and our brick pathway. On the other side, Mom and Dad have to scale the rock walls. Here I am, up top:
"Get a shot of me here, Mom!" |
Those pots will all have stuff growing in them soon. The bed there is much larger than you'd think -- here's a look at it from the side:
Top northern tier |
Oh. And it hadn't rained - Mom always wets down mulch after she spreads it so our Kansas winds don't move it elsewhere!
Here's the next tier down:
Maiden Grasses |
Those are huge ornamental grasses that are already springing to life! The tier we didn't get a shot of on the other side of the house, the one down from the Butterfly Garden, is sort of like this one, only much longer - it has 4 of these grasses and a great, big Hummingbird Mint plant.
That's it for today! One of us will share more tomorrow. Thanks for tuning in!
Cammie!
Cammie you and Maggie are excellent Queen Bees and your pawrents excellent worker bees.
ReplyDeleteOh I had my first hummingbird sighting of 2020 on March 31 at 4:50 pm. He was right on time too last year he arrived on March 31 but at 3:50 pm
