Greetings to all! It's me, Mags. I don't know what all this talk was yesterday about "someone" being all jazzed up. Usually when Mom says that, she means me, but I'm thinking she MUST have meant Ragnar. I mean, look at how sweet I am!

We ARE brother and sister, so she could have been mistaken. Yeah. That's it.

Jazzed

Hi everybody! It's me, Ragnar. Over here.

Why?  Well, as Mom likes to say, "Someone is a bit jazzed up."  I think she might mean ...

I thought jazz was supposed to be sort of mellow.  Maybe that's a different kind of jazz.

Serene Sunflower Scenes

Hi everybody! It's me, Ragnar. Today, we left for our walk  bright and ea   well, dark and early, so we could get a nice long one in. We walked up into where they're putting in a new development, which we haven't done for a while. Much to our mom's delight, the place was packed with sunflowers! We did some poses that made her happy, so we thought we'd share them with you.

Hi everybody! It's me, Ragnar. I figured out a way to help my mom sew even faster on the Pfaff!!!

 

"OK, if I just wedge the pedal under here, it's on all the time!  
Mom doesn't even have to -- wait.  Did she just unplug this baby?!?"

For some odd reason, she didn't like my attempt to streamline things. Go figure.

Greetings to all! It's me, Mags. It was getting toasty on our walk this morning, so Mom and Dad planned for us to take a water break down at about the mid-way point. We were all set to drink when ...

 

"Hey!  There's a guy firing up the Bobcat!"
"Oh, cool!  Let's stare!"
"Mags?  Ragnar?  Don't you want some water?!?"

Which just proves the old adage:  "You can lead a Siberian to water, but you can't make him drink."

Pretty sure how that goes. Or maybe horses are involved. Everything's better with horses!

Made In The Shade

Greetings to all! It's me, Mags. We had a great walk this morning - finally got a good "over 5 miler" in. We were happy to pose for Mom when we took our break, but ...

"Here, Mags.  Try my sunglasses."
"Oh.  You look cool, Mags."
"Yeah ... hang on.  This is better."

"OK, you guys!  Now ... wait, where did those smiles go?!?"
"We're doing our Tough Guy Look, Mom."
"Yeah."

I would have been happy to wear the shades home, but Mom said she needed them, too.

Serene Sunday

Hi everybody! It's me, Ragnar. Today, Mags and I have a few pix of some of the more serene moments from the week. Our first shot was on a route we haven't walked in a while - we get great views of the sunrises at the top of this hill:

"I think we have the makings of another scorcher out here today; glad we're walking early!"

We helped our mom do some watering in the backyard this week, which was very relaxing:

I'm not sure about her sometimes!

Labby Road

Hi everybody! It's me, Ragnar. There's a part of Hudson Trail we lovingly refer to as "Labby Road" -- you know, as opposed to Abbey Road? Anyway, you should be able to see why from this video!

Vanished!

It was a dark and stormy nigh morning ... OH! I mean greetings to all! It's me, Mags. So there we were this morning, caught in a storm on the Hudson Trail ...

 

"I love the feel of the rain on my fur, Mags."
"And it cooled down the pavement!"

When all of a sudden, Dad said, "Check out that dinosaur!"  A dinosaur?!?!  How scary is that?!?  Being the brave warrior that I am, I leapt to our defense!

"Where?  I don't see anything, Dad."

Mom and Dad kept pointing, but I just didn't see it. Ragnar looked for it, too.

 

"Hey, dinosaur!  C'mon out if you're brave enough to take on a Viking!"

We never did see what they were talking about.  I guess it's true about the dinosaurs vanishing and all. Right?

Serene Sunday

Greetings to all! It's me, Mags. Despite the heat coming later in the day today, we had a great walk this morning. First we checked the park for cows, horses, sheeps, etc.

 

"I don't smell anybody yet."
"Me, neither.  We still need to check."

Sadly, the park was a bust.

As you could almost see from the photo above, even though we left the house just after first light, it was already getting hot out there. Probably the most serene part of the walk for us was finding a shady spot and taking a water and snack break.

"Go ahead, Raggi.  You first."
"Is she the sweetest big sister or what?!?"

"Aw, shucks.  I promised our Mama Bebe I'd look after you!"
"Slurpity slurp slurp ..."

"Thanks for bringing the water, Dad!"
"And thanks for the cookies, Mom!"

We made it back home before it got too unbearable out there - so it was a great, serene walk! Have a wonderful Sunday!

Pedal To The Metal!

Hi everybody! It's me, Ragnar. Yesterday, Mags and I were having a meeting in the Studio, when ...

 

"So, I'll keep an eye on Dad's office; you help Mom, OK?"
"Sounds good to me, Mags."
"Oooh, if you two are in a meeting over here, I'm going to set the Pfaff back up and see if I can fix the tension!"

The Pfaff?!?  I knew Mom would need my help with that!  I raced right over and got into position!

"Uhh ... Ragnar?!?"
"You adjust whatever you need to, Mom.  I'll drive."

I made it to that cubby hole JUST in time! Whew!

More About Beans

Greetings to all! It's me, Mags. I've blogged a couple times about our "beans" - our EicosaCap fish oil pills. Usually we just eat them, but ... you know how that goes.  

After breakfast the other morning, I gave my mom the "I'm All Done" Look, but ...

"What about your bean, Mags?
"Bean?  What bean??"

"Mags?"

"Oh ... THAT bean!"

I need to remember that if Ragnar can't get there fast enough to eat my bean for me, I need to put it on the BROWN part of the placemat.  I forgot.  It's much better camouflage!

Bird Watching

Greetings to all! It's me, Mags. So ... the other day, when Ragnar and I went out front to take care of some business, we noticed an entire flock of huge, exotic birds in our neighbors' yard! Being the Siberians that we are, we did what every card-carrying member of our breed would do -- we sat and stared.

"Check 'em out, Mags!"
"Wowzers, Ragnar!  That's a lot of birdies!"
"Umm ... I thought you two needed to go potty?"

"I think that one on the far right moved!"
"I saw it, too!  Freaky!"
"They are not mov--it was the wind!  You do know it's over 100 degrees out here, right?"

They were there for a few days.  We sat and stared every chance we had, then they disappeared as suddenly as they arrived. It must be migration season for them. It's funny that Mom didn't want to stay out there - I thought she was a "birder"! Go figure.

Studio Activities

Hi everybody! It's me, Ragnar! I don't want anyone to think it's all work, work, work for me and Mags when we go to Mom's Studio! We do take time out to do zoomies, Snooter Jousting, play with our toys, and other activities. The other day, for instance, we played Tag. Mags was "it" and we went zooming around the Studio. She thought she had me, but then ...

 

"Ha!  Made it!  You can't get me, Mags.  I'm on base."
"Base, schmase!"

"I've got you now, Raggi!"
"Wait, you can't---REFEREE?!?"
"Foul on the play!"

"It's the rule, Mags."
"He gets a 3-second head start now, Mags."
"Yeah, yeah.  Who makes these rules, anyway?!?"

I think that round went to Mags. 

Anyway ... I also took a minute the other day to sing "Happy Birthday" to my bestest big sister while we were down there. Here's how that went:
