Anyway ...
The other day was cold and overcast and windy - what better time to head up to the Top of the World! Since I'm so late, I'll cut the chit-chat to a minimum and share some pix!
I had a good walk around when we got there.
Seriously. This place is Snoofin' City! It's great!
"Someone's been here. Quite recently!" |
I smelled multiple pups. Their scents were so fresh, I had a feeling they had just been there! I looked out on the horizon and thought I saw them!
Mom said she didn't see anyone. I recommended she zoom in a bit and reconsider. Check this out:
The snoofer knows best. Am I right here?
"I can't believe you'd doubt my super-snoofin' powers, Mom! And ... you might want to stop leaving your glasses in the car." |
So anyway, I got to meet those guys. The really tall guy was a white German Shepherd - he towered over me big time! The other guy was a maybe Husky/Bernese Mountain Dog mix. Mom thought he was all kinds of cute. Both of them, really ... but the German Shepherd kept putting his hackles up and what with him being off-lead/not restrained, that made Mom a tad nervous. That explains why there are no pix of us together - Mom was busy making sure everyone stayed cordial and didn't want to complicate things with the camera. Safety first!
It was a great afternoon up there and the three of us guys really did get along great.
"What a great adventure!" |
I'll post some more scenery pix tomorrow; I sure wish you could have joined us!
Play bows,
Zim
Well,Zim, you can ever be too careful so I'm glad your mom put her full focus on making sure that GSD wanted to be your friend. Plenty of room at the top of the world for everybody.

Dexter
You got a good mom there Zim, safety first is right. Your snooter is better than 20/20 vision with bionic enhancements. Looking forward to tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
cant wait until tomorrow so we can see more pictures of the top fo the world. My Vickie loves hiking in areas like yours cause she can see forever...That way she can see when Big GSdogs come by or Moose.

a good adventure - though we wish more people were like your mom and kept their dogs on leashes - just safer that way :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a fun adventure. When are the parents ever going to stop doubting us? Like you said the nose knows. Glad everybody stayed cordial.
ReplyDeleteMillie
We can't believe your mom didn't believe the snooter! Sheesh! Glad you got to meet new friends though but we'd prefer to stay inside where it's nice and warm!

ReplyDeleteZim, somebuddy needs to sort out their priorities ;)
ReplyDeleteThe Top of the World looks like such a pawsome place to explore. We can just imagine all of the great sniffs up there. We're glad you got to meet some new friends.
A few years ago now, when mom was walking Wriggley in a nearby field, a coyote came awfully close to check them out. After that, mom imagined every far off bush was a coyote, mol! talk about needing glasses :D

ReplyDeleteThe white GSD does look BIG and with lots of floof! It would have been pawesome if you have a photo with them, but we agree with Mom to be cautious. What beautiful scenery you have there. Happy Sunday!
