First up, I had my 30-day check up at the KSU Vet Health Center this week. Here's a look at how that went:
Yep. Squee Kee Moose came with me, for moral support. How nice is that? What a pal! As you can see, we even got to share a beverage. That was mighty thoughtful of our vet tech! (Both Squee Kee and I did great, result wise. I was concerned that he might need a Squeak-ectomy, but his squeaker is still going strong!)
Later that day, we got to do one of our most favorite things!
Yep! A family walk! It would have been better with Dad there, but he was actually golfing, which made him really happy ... so even though he was somewhere else, we were happy that he was doing something that gives him joy! Or something like that!
That evening, we settled in for another one of my favorite things -- a Scrabble Throw-Down!
"Trust me, Mom! Play 'azoturia'. Run it through the built-in dictionary! We'll clean up with that one!" |
We could have had Dad with that one! Oh well. Next time!
Here's Zim, doing one of his most favorite things:
"Oooh, yeah! Bott Radio! Is Jay Sekulow on yet?!?" |
Zim prefers The Jay Sekulow Show over music. I don't quite get that, being into Brazilian Jazz and bagpipe music myself, but hey! Whatever makes him happy! He devoured quite a number of law books in the home of the Good Samaritan who picked him up off the streets (before giving up on him and taking him to the shelter). He's quite the legal scholar because of that! I think that might explain the whole thing.
On one of his afternoon adventures this week, Zim took Mom out to Keats! They took another photo of the 1889-vintage church:
And they found this cool, old barn:
Mom is still learning the ins and outs of the new camera; to practice her close-ups, she turned to her two favorite subjects just this morning - my kid brother and me! Here's Zimmie:
Mom panned out a bit for my shot, so she could get my signature freckles in there:
Oh, don't worry. Yes, we were turning on the Harp Seal/Sad Eyes Look - but of course we got treats!!! Now that's serenity!
I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!
Luv,
Dave
Hey guys you do those seal eyes so well. I am going to take lessons from you. From now on its big pup eyes and treats I hope. Glad Dave all was A OK at the doctors. Have a super serene Sunday.

You have melted my MOM's heart with those eyes. Very happy to hear that you check up went well and bonus that Squee Kee Moose squeeker is A-OK. MOM is a little jealous that your dad is golfing. She said she would see her golf cubs until May cuz of the snow. I think it would be fun if she just hit a few in the back yard and I could go find them.

Goose
Glad Dave had a good run in at the vets, last time i went there i came out with no balls! BOL!! Loving the puppy dog eyes!

glad you had a good check up. YOur mom is doing well with her new camera. I really like the shot of the old barn and your eyes. YOu two really know how to turn on the charm :) No snow for us, just wind--drat. Have a good week boyz.
ReplyDeleteYou boys and your eyes melt our mommy to a puddle every single time! Looks like you had quite a week. I got my furs stolen from my v-e-t this week so I'm glad Squee Kee didn't get de-squeeked at your v-e-t!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the old barn! When Mom and Dad were traveling around the west for ski racing (before we arrived in their lives), they drove through all sorts of little towns in Wyoming and Montana and Idaho, and Mom got a whole series of pictures of old barns and old houses - buildings clearly erected when the land was first settled. She loves 'em! Our Mom, too, is jealous of the golfing. Her golf clubs are sitting in the garage, waiting for May to roll around (or possibly April if there is a warm spring in the valley) before they can be taken out again! Love the close-up photos, too!

We love the pictures of the church and the barn but the close-up of your eyes is the best, Dave and Zim!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
Mommy loves you guys and she LOVES the close ups. You both have beautiful eyes. Mommy also wants to know if she can call you for help in words with friends?

Hey, I like bagpipe music too! I like to have it playing whenever I wear my kilt. It makes me feel authentic.
ReplyDeleteYou guys will not BELIEVE everything Cinderella's doing to get ready for her big date. I told her you already think she's pretty, but she keeps talking mud masks and curlers...
WOAH! Is that Swihart's barn? I've never been there but have heard the tales of Barn Parties and Walking Nativities of yore.
ReplyDeleteYou guys just have the best eyes!
Nora
Awesome shots! And your eyes are AMAZING!
