Ha roo, pups and kit-kats. It's me again - Zim! Thanks to all of you who offered to come over and play with me yesterday. It's so good to have friends!
Speaking of friends... I read my best kit-kat pal Huffle's blog this morning. Did you see it? Just when she'd gotten the bed all warm and cozy, her mom actually made her move so she could make the bed. Can you believe that? I can. Only because I suffer the same kind of abuse around here. I have my own way of dealing with this and thought I'd share it with all of you.
I know on a lot of the quilt and bag blogs Mom reads, they offer tutorials on how to do stuff... so let's consider this my tutorial on how to get the bed back to being comfy!
First... wait for your mom to make the bed. Even offer some help, just to throw her off. Then wait for her to leave.
Yep... looks good. All done here, Mom? Why don't you go get yourself some coffee!
Once you're alone, rearrange the covers how YOU want them. I person.... err... Siberianly like to toss them up toward the head of the bed, just ... because. I usually kick some of the pillows on the floor while I'm at it. Give it a go, pups and kit-kats! Go for broke! It's exhausting work; you may want to rest up after that task.
Zzzzz....
Once you've regained your strength, take a moment to admire your handiwork. How's it look? Is everything where you want it?
Then... try it out.
Oooh, yeah. Com-FY!
Enjoy your space while you can. Others will want to come share the fruits of your labor.
Mom? Want me to make Zimmie get down?
Last suggestion: Be careful who you share with.
Play bows,
Zim
PS: Dave! Dave! Let go of my NECK! C'mon....
Another great job Zim!
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing to my mom's bed when we go up at night!!
Whilst she's in the bathroom thingie, I fluff up her bed so she'll be khomfie!!!

Zim...excellent tutorial. I do EXACTLY what khyra does too...having a comfy spot is really important!
ReplyDeleteLots of Licks, Ruby
great job making the bed the siberian way, Zimmie! I try to do a good job myself, but mom gets upset because I end up ripping the sheets in the process. I just tell her it's a good excuse to go shopping for more and she forgives me.
ReplyDeleteGreat job. Why does your mom bother? she knows you will make it for her! sheesh...

WOO!! Great tutorial. Make sure WOO leave lots of fur behind. And sit on the humans' pillows, they will REALLY appreciate that. Ours sure do!
ReplyDeleteWOOOO woo rar rar rar,
Kayla and Maebe
I always have to kick pillows on the floor to get comfy. Maybe I am part sibe???? good job.
ReplyDeleteMom and Dad have a giant waterbed. I don't much care for it - too sloshy for me. But Meeka loves it. He positions himself at the end of the hallway and races into the bedroom, jumping onto the bed. Mom usually yells and waves her arms in the air. It's great!

Oh Zimmie! Thanks for those hints about the bed. I didn't stay in the bed this morning because the sun is shining for once and I had to go out and sunbake. But tomorrow is another story. I will have dad take pictures (not mum, she'll probably try to tidy something up or something) to show you.
ReplyDeleteYour best friend, Huffle Mawson
Purrr S: I am worried about Dave.
Harrrrr Matey Zim
ReplyDeleteGreat Job making the bed Harrrrr.
Cap'n Maverick the Pirate
When my Human makes the bed, she actually closes the door so we can't help. Can you believe THAT?!
ReplyDeleteThat's how we make mom and dad's bed look all the time!
ReplyDeletePuppy slurps, Canyon
We really have to work on this one, Zim. It could be a little tough because we don't get to even go upstairs where the beds are located. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteWoo, the OP Pack
WOO WOO Zimmie
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea but we have a new problem - Mom makes us leave the bedroom and then she puts the silly gate up so we can't get back into the bedroom - What to do now???
Thor and Marco Polo
Hi, Zim!
ReplyDeleteThat is the way I like to make the bed but my mom does not agree with me!
I share the bed with my mom. Do you think I have to keep an eye on her??
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
What a wonderful idea of how to make the bed! I hope my fur kids never read it though!
ReplyDeleteLoving your page!
Woo Zimmie!
ReplyDeleteWozzers what a great tutorial! I have saved this in my special folder file on moms puter, so when I get the chance to go for it, I won't make any mistakes. There is so much to learn Zimmie! But I just love what you do with a bed!
Oh and that bro Dave, he is a great guy too!

I have been lacking in my bed skills. I need to work on that except the door is always closed now because of somepup. But I do get be on the bed unlike somepup else who has been banished because of some dominance issues.
ReplyDeletePrincess Eva
Not bad Zimmie! I do the same. Lately I have been sticking to the floor where Dad now has two of my very own beds in the bedroom and one in the family room. Your so good to share with your bestest brother ever. I do the same with Rock. Speaking of a nap...... -Mati
ReplyDeleteGreat tutorial, Zimmie! We will try it when our bipeds aren't around. They have this silly "no dogs on the bed" rule. But we do get to make our own quilts on the floor all cozy.
