Woo, everypup and everycat! Dave here, ready to fill you in on the cool adventure Zim and I had the other day. We got our leashes on and Mom said, "OK, boys, let's go!" Woo!
We went up near the water tower at first, and took a turn down this dirt path.
Me and Zim
There are INCREDIBLE smells up there, pups! REALLY incredible! The scenery is cool, too, if you're into that sort of thing. Here's a shot across the hills:
Woo! What's that sort of bluish thing in the middle there!?!? Zim said it was the Kansas Ocean! We sent Mom a mind meld message to take us over there; there had to be a way to get there from up here!
She must have understood our message, 'cuz we kept walking and walking and came upon this:
The start of a sidewalk, out there in the middle of nowhere! Isn't that cool? We had to follow it!
We came upon this small ravine after a while. Zim was very interested in whatever was down there; he told me that's where the coyotes live. We hear them singing at night all the time. They sound a lot like Zim... so he probably has the inside scoop on where they hang out.
The coyotes have their dens down there, Dave!
"Their dens are down there"? If Ammy had been with us, I'm sure she would have asked if their kitchens were down there, too. Ha wooooooo!
We kept walking, and sure enough, we got to the Kansas Ocean!
There it is, Davy! The Kansas Ocean!
Woo!
Isn't it cool, Dave?!?
It was incredibly cool. Icy cool. Umm... cold.
It looks frozen, Zim!
Yeah... maybe that's where ice cubes come from!
What a great walk - and a great adventure! I hope you enjoyed coming along with us. Mom said one of the many benefits she got from the walk was that after a rousing round of zoomies with our sisters when we got home, both Zim and I did a lot of this:
The Z-man
Luv,
Dave
Hey Dave and Z-man, we're glad you got to see the Kansas Ocean again, and frozen, too :) Our Ma says the scenery is pretty cool. She definitely is into that sort of thing!! It's so funny how you relax on your back Zimmie, Jessie does that sometimes, too.
ReplyDeleteLove Josh and Jess
What a great walk, thanks for showing me. I would have dragged my mom into the ocean. he he. Have a great nap.
ReplyDeleteYou know where it's at, Zim. Full-on groin sleepies is the only way to go. I think you and I have a lot in common...
ReplyDeleteAfter a good round of walkies my bro and I like to do zoomies and shoot of the walls like so many rubber bands. Then it's all about airing out the man space and catching a snoozel. It's the life, don't you think?
What a strange sidewalk and pit!!! We bet Ammy would have cracked that funny too.
ReplyDeleteTell Mom that our Mom says it used to be only Phantom who would sleep on the sofa, Dakota only once in a while and never ever ME. But I decided it was time for me to give it a try - after all I am more than two and a half now - that's big enough I think.
Woos, Thunder
Was that D-Z's big adventure?
ReplyDeleteFurry nice!

Khyra
oh I was so worried you were going to experience a TorNado, and you were going to find the Wizard of Oz!
ReplyDeleteI have never been the same since I watched The Wizard of Oz, they should have a warning on the film "Not Suitable For Marvin".
The Kansas Ocean should be reported to some person in charge of maps, I don't think it has been registered yet as a real ocean.
Sadly.
love and licks, Marvin xxxxxxxxxx
Woooo guys! Thanks for taking us along on your cool walk to the Kansas Ocean, we loved it! Yup, we're into scenery too, well our Mum is, we're more inrerested in sniffs :o)
ReplyDeleteSlobbers xx
Uh, Zimmie, are you hurt or is that a new doga pose I don't know about? Cool walk boys!

You guys should definitely start selling vacation packages to the new Kansas ocean, get in there first! Although, it looks a little cold right now...
ReplyDeleteYour Kansas ocean is just lovely guys! We love the surrounding scenery too!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots

Hi Dave & Zimmie!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you guys had a GREAT walk! That Kansas ocean you found is pretty neat! There's nothing better than a nice long walk followed by a nice long nap! Well, maybe it would be better if there was a nice long dog bone to chew on mixed in there but 2 outta 3 isn't bad!
:) Tibby
Hi, Dave and Zim!
ReplyDeleteYou had another nice walkie looking for the Kansas Ocean!
Zim looks so comfy there!
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
What a great day!
ReplyDeleteIt must so cool to have your very own Ocean.
Watch out for sharks in that thing.

Glad you help your Mom out Dave and I am happy she gives you your well deserved breaks. :) What an adventure you had! How neat to see where the coyotes live...I was close to one once but it ran from me and I didn't even see it. Mom told me about it later...I did smell it's scent though. You sound just like a coyote too...I listened to your lovely coyote serenade...just magical!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Nala
I enjoyed going on your walk to see the Kansas Ocean again! Hope you got all rested up after your adventure!
ReplyDeleteHey Dave & Zim !
ReplyDeleteThat Kansas Ocean is awesome!
did any of you play with the water??
Great adventure (and, Z, another great demonstration of relaxing Siberian Style). Natasha wants to know if the Kansas Ocean is where ice cubes come from. She loves ice and will come running if anyone operates the ice maker in the magic box. She keeps trying to figure it out herself.
ReplyDeleteHi Dave and Zim! What a great adventure you guys had! I love to see where you guys go on your walks. Mom says that it's hard to take pictures when I take her walking. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteMochi
We notice the distinct lack of snow... we can't believe it!
ReplyDeleteSending truck-loads of snow your way!
;o)
M & I
Did you ever figure out why there is a sidewalk out there? Weird!
ReplyDeleteSteve
WOO WOO
ReplyDeleteWhat a great walk but we still can no believe you don't have any snow in Kansas. Mom is positive our snow will never leave and he poop is buried really deep!
Hugs
