Serene Scenery Sunday

Ha roo, pups and cool cats!  It's me, Zim, here with this week's installment of Serene Scenery Sunday.  I had a look around the front yard earlier in the week and thought you might like seeing what's blooming out there!

Let's look over here!  The mums are starting to bloom!

Aren't the pink ones cool?!!?

They look good enough to eat, don't they?  Umm... not that I'd do that or anything!  Here's a closer look:

How about a close-up of a gold one?

Mom said the gold ones really say "Autumn" to her!  I gave a listen, but I didn't hear them say anything.  Go figure!

Over to the right of them, Mom has some pots with Coleus-es in them:

They are cuttings from that big pot on the front porch; Mom stuck them in water for a while, then re-potted them.

Very colorful!  Mom wants to plant them again next year!

Oh!  There's one more thing out front that made Mom and Dad feel mighty serene.  A big truck showed up and some guys poured a bunch of concrete where our driveway used to be:

For some reason, Dave and I didn't get to go out there when that was going on.  Yeah.  I don't understand that one myself!

Hope your Sunday is nice and serene.

Play bows,
Zim

  3. Mommy says that mums say stuff about fall to her too. DOH's is what I say. Mommy was making something fall-smelling in the kitchen earlier. She calls it pumpkin bread, and let me tell you: it is GOOD! I got a little taste for staying out of the kitchen while Mommy was cooking; it bet it taseted better than that pretty flower you were contemplating. Enjoy your pretty yard this fall!

  6. Umm.....when our Dad works with concrete Mom makes us stay inside, too. But one time she took us out to touch the wet stuff with a paw then she made some marks in it Thes bipeds are just a puzzle sometimes.

  7. Your mom's plants are beawootiful! The pink ones are our favorite. Now about the driveway....They would not let us get involved with that either. We had to watch from the window.

  13. I think it is OK to eat flowers. The rabbits and deer are always eating the ones in Master's front gardens (and boy does it make him mad).

No paw prints in the new driveway? Huh?
