Serene Scenery Sunday

Ha roo, pups and cool cats!  It's me, Zim, here with a photo-packed edition of Serene Scenery Sunday.  Mom and I took the good camera out around the house this morning so we could show you all the colors that fill us with all kinds of inner calmness - so let's get right to business!

Our big White Ash Tree by the deck is starting to turn pretty colors:

And see those drops of water on there?!?  We had something called RAIN yesterday!!!  We haven't seen any for a long, long time and are in something called a "drought", so we were really happy to have a few showers go through the area.  (We are also very thankful that friends in Texas and Oklahoma have reported RAIN!)

The different sedum plants are still flowering:

Mom refers to that variety as "pink broccoli". I worry about her sometimes...

The Rose of Sharon bushes still have a few blooms! Here's a look at the pink one:

Speaking of pink, check the Crape Myrtle:

What a blast of color!

Out front, the Mums are in full swing! Here are a few shots for your viewing pleasure:

Mom planted some really strange stuff in our mailbox planter a month or so ago, when the petunias were done blooming. Check out this crazy thing:

Doesn't it look like something out of a science fiction movie?!?

Our Purple Ash is starting to turn colors, too. Can you see it down there?

Before we know it, it will be all purply!  Dave and I will keep you posted!

I hope our look at Fall colors helped you feel nice and serene!  Have a great Sunday!

Play bows,
Zim

  1. We always love the pictures you share of your beautiful landscaping. Being from Texas, we too are thankful for the wonderful rain. Hopefully it will keep all your plants looking pretty through the fall.

  5. Beautiful colors Zim! Thank you for the tour! And, so appreciate you stopping by our site today :)
We are planning to go see the Blue Angels this afternoon. Always get a great spot by Fort Baker, on the North Tower of the GG Bridge. Mom got to see/hear them practicing Thursday eve, while visiting with friends at Chrissy Field...they were SO CLOSE! Amazing pilots!

Hope you are all having a nice fall :) Please keep in touch!

    Sweet hugs,

  6. Beautiful, Zim! Does this mean no more Rap Master Zimmie? Lets hope so!

Our trees have shed most of their leaves due to the high winds we have been having, and no flowers that I have seen lately. Looks like winter is on the way!

  9. Nice fall colors, Zim! Our trees - at least in our yard - haven't started to change yet. Love the pink broccoli and the sci-fi plant :D (careful it doesn't join league with the monster potato vine...)
