We just headed out - and eventually ended up at the Kansas Ocean.

It was frozen solid still.

We kept driving, rather than getting out for a stroll. Something about foot-deep snow and a temperature of 6 ℉ (that's -14.4℃ for our international friends). I don't know why Mom has a problem with that. That was fine with me, since none of my birdie friends were there.

We drove around for a while longer, then headed home. It was great. Remember - it's not the destination that matters, it's just going and having fun along the way!

Absolutely! Neeko loves to go for rides, it doesn't matter where we are going. Sometimes I take her with me when I have to run to the bank or to get gas, or to pick up Les's prescription. All places that have a drivethru or don't require me to leave the vicinity of the car.

ReplyDeleteHi Zim, I wonder if you are getting snow today? Here it is not snowing but still very cold-well it has warmed up to 30F. Hope you get to play outside this afternoon. Hunter loves being in the snow-rolls in it and tries to eat all the ice.

That's exactly right, Zim...it's the journey that matters more than the destination. Not much is better than climbing into the car with people we love and hitting the road...:)
ReplyDeleteWhere do all the birdies go when your ocean is frozen? Hopefully they go someplace with good fishing! BTW, our Mom is a wuss about cold weather, too. Snow she is fine with, but when it gets into the single digits, we get the 'Oh, it's so cold out there; we can't be out for long.' Talk about a kill-joy!
