Serene Scenery Sunday

Greetings to all!  It's me, Maggie, here with this week's Serene Scenery Sunday post.  This morning, we took a little drive out to Tuttle Creek State Park to do our walk -- there are chemicals all over the roads here (snow melting stuff) and Dad thought we could get a better, safer, longer walk in at the park.  Sounded great to me!  Who wants to go?!!?

We parked by the River Pond. Here is Cam right after she got out of the vehicle:

"Chemical-free packed snow - this is beautiful!"

No chemicals on these roads - we could go anywhere we wanted to!

We walked up the path between the River Pond and Willow Lake then continued to our favorite trail -- Eagle Pass!

"This has 'Serene Scenery Sunday' written all over it!"

Do I look ready to go?!!? It was so great out there!

"Look at how beautiful this is, Cam!"
"It's perfection!"

We walked quietly together, just taking in the beauty of this snowy sanctuary.

"Walk carefully, walk prayerfully,
Let no harsh sound debase
The deep cathedral quiet
Of this holy wooded place..." *

We hiked to the end of the Eagle Pass Trail, then took the road back around to where we'd left the vehicle.

Me and Cam again

It was such a beautiful, peaceful walk!

"So tell me ... do you feel serene now?"

"I sure do, Mags!  That was a beautiful walk!"

"I do, too!"

I hope all of you do, too!  Have a wonderful Sunday.

Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
