Hello, everyone! It's me, Cam. We've had a long, overly hot, incredibly dry Summer here at Ao4 Headquarters. We were in severe drought for a long time, then on Labor Day we were hit with about 5 inches of rain in a very short period of time. Other parts of town received between 8 and 9 inches, and we've had more since. Parts of town had horrible flooding
, as you may have heard, and many people are still without power and had their homes destroyed
. But now ... serenity:
The temps have cooled, the sun is out, and we have a beautiful day!
|"Look, girls! The sun is out!"|
"So are the neighbors!"
"I need my shades, Mom."
Let's hope we've seen the last of the really hot temps for a while!
PS: Ao4 HQS sits on top of a hill, so we are soggy, but fine.
Yay for Working gals in sunpuddles.ReplyDelete
OH dear here on the East coast we are watching Hurricane Florence with sharp eagle eyes. It is looking like the witch is churning up a witch's brew for us.
Hugs madi your bfff
We are very happy your neighborhood didn't flood. Mom lived through the really bad flood in Missouri many years ago. That was NOT fun.ReplyDelete
Isn't it just delightful today? We have spent most of the day on our deck - we just LOVE it. AND the best part is the rest of the week is supposed to be good too.ReplyDelete
Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
We are so happy that you girls like on top of your hill and are fine. Our hearts go out to those who were not so lucky.ReplyDelete
Cooler temps and sunshine is a very good thing!
We're tired of the hot weather too. The past couple of days have been cool but we are heading toward 80 this coming week.ReplyDelete
We can't believe your mom forgot the shades!ReplyDelete
We are so glad you guys are ok. And had a beautiful day to relax in. Praying for those going through the clean up and and for those who lost their homes. Keeping the folks in Florence's path in our thoughts and prayer tooReplyDelete
I'm so glads you gurls are having a FABulous day! So sorry abouts the peeps in the flood zone ~ not funs at all. Sendin' well wishes to them.ReplyDelete
