Serene Scenery Sunday

Hello, everyone!  It's me, Cam.  We've had a long, overly hot, incredibly dry Summer here at Ao4 Headquarters.  We were in severe drought for a long time, then on Labor Day we were hit with about 5 inches of rain in a very short period of time.  Other parts of town received between 8 and 9 inches, and we've had more since.  Parts of town had horrible flooding, as you may have heard, and many people are still without power and had their homes destroyed.  But now ... serenity:

The temps have cooled, the sun is out, and we have a beautiful day!

"Look, girls!  The sun is out!"
"So are the neighbors!"
"I need my shades, Mom."

Let's hope we've seen the last of the really hot temps for a while!

Cammie!

PS:  Ao4 HQS sits on top of a hill, so we are soggy, but fine.

OH dear here on the East coast we are watching Hurricane Florence with sharp eagle eyes. It is looking like the witch is churning up a witch's brew for us.

  2. We are very happy your neighborhood didn't flood. Mom lived through the really bad flood in Missouri many years ago. That was NOT fun.

  3. Isn't it just delightful today? We have spent most of the day on our deck - we just LOVE it. AND the best part is the rest of the week is supposed to be good too.
