Hi everybody! It's me, Ragnar. I'm here on Guard Duty in the Studio. Sure, technically Mom calls this her "Quilt" Studio, but isn't quilting an art? So it's an art studio.

And that's why I put Nose Art on the windows!

Don't Be Radicchio!

Hi everybody! It's me, Mags. Ragnar and I helped our mom make dinner last night (of course!) and we were quite interested when she started making the salad.

 

"Hey, Mom!  Whatcha got there?"
"That's not kale, is it?!?"
"Kale?!?  No, of course not!  It's radicchio."

"Would you two like to try some?"
"Yum!  Food!"
"Yeah, we'll give it a try."

I thought I'd enjoy my salad in the living room. On the carpet.

 

"You're not just chewing it up and spitting it out on the carpet, are you, Mags?"
"Don't be radicchio!  You just ... gave me too big of a piece."

She can be so radicchio at times!

Serene Sunday

Greetings to all! It's me, Mags. We felt like doing something different on our walk this morning, so we hit the back of CiCo Park, then headed to the big stadium at Kansas State University! Once there, we struck a great pose for our mom:

 

"Let's look this way, Mags."
"Great idea, Ragnar."
"Ragnar?  Mags?!?  I have cookies!!!"

That wasn't quite what our mom had in mind, so she tried again.

 

"Big smiles, puppies!!!"
"OK, but Mags said not to look!"
"Hey, Dad.  Tell Mom it's time to get going, OK?"

Well, we DID smile!  There may have been a few snaps after that one, but I think Mom finally got the idea. More moving, less posing!

It was in the 60s and we went over 6 and a quarter miles, so today is super serene -- Ragnar and I both feel a nice afternoon nap coming on!

A Beautiful Day!

Greetings to all! It's me, Mags. What an incredibly beautiful day!  We had a GREAT walk this morning - we hit both parks (unfortunately, no cows or horses at CiCo - but we did check thoroughly!) and enjoyed all every little thing along the way. We even posed for a couple pix! Here's my favorite:

I mean, seriously! Could we look any more like brother and sister there?!? OK, it's not what Mom was going for, but I think it's perfect! We did look at the camera a bit later:

 

"Hey, move over, Mom -- somebody's coming!  I can't see."
"Hi, Mo---oooh!  It's a runner, Mags!"

We WERE looking at the camera!

What a great walk! So many people were out - we got to meet a couple of them AND we got to do nosies with a very nice pup who was probably a Lab/Pit Bull mix. He and his mom were both really nice!

Is the weather beautiful where you are?!?  I think Spring has finally sprung here!

Delicate Balance

Hi everybody! It's me, Ragnar. In Mom's Studio, she has a couple lights on stands. I discovered that if you're reeeeeeally careful, you can stick your snooter in and ...

 

"Ooh!  The fold-out bars form a little shelf that I can balance my snooter on!!!"

"Get a pic quick, Mom!"

The light fixture itself is rather delicate; the key is not knocking it over -- or getting your snooter tangled up in the wire. (Actually, my mom moved the cord as soon as she saw I was using this as a snooter rest.). It's all about balance and being really careful.  And - according to my mom - being a really good boy.  ❤

PS:  This light fixture has been rated 10 out of 10 on the "degree of difficulty" scale by the Siberian Snooter Rest Association.  I am a professional; do not try this at home unless fully trained!

Wordy Wednesday

Greetings to all! It's me, Mags. Normally, we'd do Wordless Wednesday, but I had and have a lot to say today! Ragnar and I took our mom and dad on a nice, long walk (6 1/4 miles) and when we were just about back at Ao4 Headquarters, guess who we saw?!? Gauge the extremely handsome Chocolate Lab! I just LOVE him!!!

I play bowed at him and Raggi play bowed at him and he play bowed at us and I told him, "Ha roo rah roo roo booooooo!" and he play bowed again! It was so much fun! When we got home, Mom asked if I liked seeing Gauge and this is what I did:

 

"Does this smile answer your question?!?" 

He's SO much fun; Ragnar thinks so too. I hope we see him again soon. I have lots more to tell him - and lots more play bowing to do!!!

Lending A Hand

Hi everybody! It's me, Ragnar. Yesterday, I helped my mom in the Studio while she did some hand sewing.

She got everything done that she wanted to, so I must have been super helpful!

Distracted!

Hi everybody! It's me, Ragnar. The other day, Mom and I went out back and played in the yard for a while. Before we went in, she asked me to pose in one of the gardens.  I tried really hard to be a good boy ...

"Look this way, Ragnar!  Raggi?!?"
"Oh ... my ... word ..."

I would have looked at her, but there was a bunny hip-hopping around the yard. OUR yard!!!  Talk about a major distraction!  Mom said I really WAS a good boy not to chase the bun, but wow, did I ever want to!!!

So Serene Sunday

Greetings to all! It's me, Mags. Our day was going very well -- we went on our normal 5+ miles walk, had a great breakfast and lunch (kibble -- our favorite!), did some zoomies ... and then the Ring doorbell let us know there was a package on the front porch. Not just any package, but a package in a me-sized box!!!

"Now this is serene!  I love it!  Mind if I just sit here a while?"
"Only until your dad is ready to process it, Mags, OK?"

I get it.  Tomorrow is "take your boxes to the curb" day.  I stayed put, enjoying the serenity of boxing for as long as I could.

"Hey, what's everybod---OH!  Errr... a box.  I need to go take care of something in the other---Wait ... is she getting treats, Mom?"
"The box is my treat, Ragnar!"
"I think your dad's ready for the box, sweet girl!"

"I don't know about you sometimes, Mags."
"My name is Polargold's Margaret Thatcher and I ❤ boxes!!!"

What a great day!  It was so incredibly serene while it lasted!  I hope you take time to enjoy some serenity today!

Nailed It!

Greetings to all! It's me, Mags. Thanks to everyone for the good wishes yesterday! My nail is looking remarkably good today, so Mom and Dad thought it would be OK if I went on a "half walk" (2.5 miles). That was all we wanted to do anyway, as we have some storms in the area, bringing in much-needed rain. Mom checked my nail frequently during the walk, and it was just fine! 

I was so happy to go on the walk - and when we got home ...

 

"♫  Oh, Raggi!!!  Mom wants to see you in the living room! ♫"

I'd say I'm back to normal, wouldn't you?!?

Mom & Me Time

Hi everybody! It's me, Ragnar! Just me and Mom went on our walk this morning - Mags has a toenail that needs to heal for a couple days, so she stayed with Dad and I took Mom on a super fast walk!

I did make sure we stopped to enjoy the scenery:

Anyway, Mags is doing super well and hopes to take a shorter walk with everybody tomorrow.  I really missed her!  Oddly enough, Mom said I was a bit more focused on walking and less on horsing around today.  I mean, the odd part is she said it like that's a GOOD thing!  Bipeds!

Spring Is Trying!

Hi everybody! It's me, Ragnar. Not much exciting stuff is going on here, but because it's been unseasonably chilly, we've had some GREAT walks! Spring is trying to come through, though -- you can see in this photo that the Redbud Trees are in bloom in the neighborhood!!

We know the heat will be here soon.  In the meantime, Mags and I LOVE this cool Spring!

Serene Scenery Sunday

Greetings to all! It's me, Mags. We had another great walk this morning - in the 40s, the winds had died down to about 27 mph (we have been having VERY Kansas-y winds lately, so 27 seemed calm!), and lots of sun.  Perfect walking weather for all of us!  When we reached our turn-around point, Ragnar and I posed for a cookie.

It was quite the serene moment!  You know ... given the cookie part of the occasion!

If You're Happy And You Know It ...

Greetings to all! It's me, Mags. We had a particularly great walk this morning - it was pretty hot (in the 70s) but a lovely breeze was blowing (43mph gusts), so that helped us stay cool. It also meant there were all kinds of hazards that I had to pounce on to keep us safe - leaves, weeds, the occasional bag, etc. I love having an important job like that!  We changed up the route a bit, which meant different smells and scenery. It's always fun switching things around! And we met a very nice lady who wanted to meet us. She gave us all kinds of great ear rubs and said how sweet we are. I was so happy that I gave Mom this look when we got home:

Showing Some Love

Hi everybody! It's me, Ragnar! This morning on our walk, I turned around and gave my mom a hug - like this:

It's good to show some love. It's also good when Mom gives me (and Mags - you can sort of see her behind me) a cookie afterwards. Not that I'm in it for the cookies; it's all about the love.
