Everysibe To The Kansas Ocean!

Tail wags, pups and kit-cats, it's me - Stormy!  We've had some remarkably warm weather lately (for February in Kansas) and Saturday was one such day!  It must have hit 70; the bipeds were outside in short-sleeved shirts and shorts!  Dad hit the links in the early afternoon, then when he got home, he suggested that we all six walk out to the Kansas Ocean!  ALL of us!  It was so exciting!  I hadn't been in that area for a long time - since before the ocean became ...sort of an ocean!

Here I am, admiring it:

It's as gorgeous as you pups said it was!

It's a cool ocean, isn't it Storm?

Dave and I checked it out together; the redheads spotted something new and Dad took them over to check that out.

Hey, Dad, what's that sign?
Yeah, Daddy, what does that say?

That's when the we got the news.

"Vanesta Lake"?  Not only does the sign confirm my suspicions that it's not really the Kansas Ocean - but they named it without any input from Zim.  I mean - Zim is the one who discovered it, you'd think he could name it!  Well, it will always be the Kansas Ocean to us!

We took some great group shots; we'll share those with you tomorrow!

Tail wags,
Storms

  4. At least it should be the Zimnesta lake - like a Siesta Zim style (or maybe that is just a Ziesta!)

  5. Stormy,

I love your Kansas Ocean. The real ocean is overrated. You can't drink the water and it's filled with SHARKS!

But if you want, you could always spend the summer here and see for yourself.

  7. Are you sure that your dad was telling you the truth about the name, Zim? I mean. . sometimes they don't always tell us the truth. I bet that really says Zim's Kansas Ocean.

  8. Zim, didn't you let the authorities know you discovered this ocean? Because then you would get some credits in the history books and they will probably (in embarrasment) change the name immediately to Zim's Kansas Ocean.

Oh, get on it, Zim and make it happen.

    Kisses,
    Stella

  14. I can't believe they didn't let you guys name that ocean. How rude! We're getting warm weather here in the Mitten State this week, too. All my beloved snow is melting. :( Mom keeps saying we'll get some more, though. Hopefully, you guys will get some, too. A sibe without snow is just wrong!

  17. Wow, we didn't know Kansas had an ocean. You're lucky. We don't have one in GA.

You should write the governor of KS and tell him they've made an error in the sign.

  18. We are in total accord with Khyra, a new and improved sign is so needed. If we get all the rain they are promising, that Vanesta thing could get much bigger!
