Woo, everypup and everycat. It's me - Dave. I'm here to tell you about the cool adventure I got to go on with Mom and one of my siblings the other day. I think it was Sunday. It's all still a blur - lots of pulling, lots of walking, lots of pulling, lots of cool smells, more pulling, a photo shoot by the Kansas Ocean, even more pulling... it was great. Here I am:
Me, Dave. Heading down the trail.
I usually get paired up with Storms (we're the oldest and don't need the amount of exercise the redheads do, plus we walk really nicely together) - but sometimes I walk with my kid brother (so we can have guy-time). I am a very strong guy, but don't pull too hard if I walk with either of them. Or at least they don't pull too hard, so it's OK for Mom. But sometimes... sometimes Mom forgets why I usually walk with Storm or Zim... and guess who I got to go with?
Hey, Davy! Let's pretend we're sled puppies and Mom is the sled and let's pull her really, really hard! OK?
Ammy! It was so cool. She came up with that fun game of pulling Mom as hard as we could; it was great fun! For us, anyway. We pulled all the way to the Kansas Ocean, then stopped to do a few poses. We did this one for Storm:
Not on purpose. Actually, a lady ran by with a Border Collie mix, and we were looking at them. Then... we decided to look at Mom.
Hi Mom. You have my full attention.
Do you know why? Thanks to a suggestion from some of you pups, our mom had a stash of cookies in her Hold the iPod/iPhone Pod! Way to go, you guys! Even Ammy looked at the camera!
Are those Happy Hearts cookies?
After the cookies ran out, umm, I mean after we were done posing, we played the sled dog game a bunch more. Ammy will show you more pix tomorrow!
Thanks for letting me tell you about our cool game!
Luv,
Dave
We play pull the mommy all of the time! it's great fun, then she gets upset, says "heel" and we have to slow down. We don't always listen, mind you, but sometimes, if the right motivation is there, we will for a little bit.
ReplyDeleteDave, Guinness thinks you looking at the camera is snooterlicious! Ammy, I love your winky picture.
Love, Shiloh
Hmmmm, we might have to get Mom to add some treats to her pockets. She is always complaining that she has no room for anything else b/w the poop bags, the phone, the camera, the keys, and yadda yadda.
ReplyDeleteNice wink there, Ammy and great narration, Davy!!
Tail wags, the OP Pack
Pee Ess, one of these days we are going to come look at your Kansas Ocean.
Cool game, I love playing that one with Mommy but you got cookies for it! Wooo, I have to train mommy to bring cookies on walkies, that would be great!
ReplyDelete-Kira The BeaWootiful
Rumour has it your mom is STILL khatching up from being with woo two!
ReplyDeleteHugz&Khysses,
Khyra
I love that game! But mom got mean and bought me a Gentle Leader. Boo! That thing bugs me, but she claims that's the only way she can take me out. Maybe if she had my favorite chicken jerky I would listen better.
ReplyDeleteMochi
Hi,guys, your are soooo funny:-) I love to pull too, but my mom don't let me except up the hill. I suspect that's because it is easier for her:-)
ReplyDeletePawsome pics though, as always:-)
Love you a lot,
Nessa
That does sound a cool game! I wish i was big and strong like you Dave cos if I try to play that game my feets all move but Mum does not and she stands still till I stop. It no fun at all!
ReplyDeleteVery good piccures of you and Ammy, you should try looking at the camera more.
~lickies, Ludo
Dat is an awesome game. We play too but Maw takes only one of us at a time. She carries treats too so she could teach me and Nikita how to heel (what a woof dat is) and sit or down when on leash. We is learning a wittle. I bites Maws fingers when she gives da treat cause I is so eggscited.
ReplyDeleteDon't tire your Maw out too much.
Gr8 pics!
Husky kisses,
Biloxi
Pulling mommy is pawsome! Since she's not furry strong, she only takes ONE at a time...usually me. The other day, Koova played a new game with Mommy! Let's jump on mommy so hard we knock her down! Mommy didn't like that game. :(
ReplyDeleteWoos look so cool by the Kansas Ocean!!!
Mya Boo Boo
That sounds like a very fun game. I wonder if it would work for me.
ReplyDeleteHuffle Mawson
oh Dave, your adventures sounded such fun!
ReplyDeleteIf you take a peek on my blog today, I have been to the OCEAN!!!!!
And I actually surfed in said Ocean and peed on the sand too, well actually on some sandcastles (oooops! how to make yourself popular at the Ocean :0D ).
I also patrolled the beach and looked for you Four, but sadly you weren't there! I was kinda disappointed because you are always talking about the ocean, and I was actually at the real ocean, and no show by the Davester and Crew! Or should I bark, Army!
Never mind, I had a surf for you, and a paddle, and a swim, and a shake all over the humans.
Lots of Ocean Type Licks, Marvin xxxxxx
Awesome pictures. Maybe we are part sled dogs? We pull mom all over the lake park while dad digs in the dirt.. Of course the little girl has to be first!!
ReplyDeletewe love the pictures..
Big Sloppy Kisses
Gus, Louie and Callie
Great pictures, great thinking using cookies to get their attention. =)
ReplyDeleteCooool game, you guys have so much fun! Rosie & Gabbi do that to Mum when they're on a time out on their leads :o) We think it's funny when she has all four of us on leads and it's muddy or snowy....she does not!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that photo of the two of you looking back at your ocean, and your attention to Mom ones are just dreamy!
Slobbers xx
Yes. . I've played the sled dog game, too! John and Kelly have been trying to walk me without the gentle leader and I have been taking full advantage of the situation. I want to ruuuuuuuuuuun.
ReplyDeletePaws,
Ozzie
that is a lot of pulling!!! Tanner is a huge puller too and Mom always complains. Humans never like to play our fun games.
ReplyDeletePulling the humans is a great game, but we like to do it with zig-zags and trick moves so they don't know which way we are going to go.
ReplyDeleteP.S. - Zim - Maybe you are related to Rusty. He has already found one long lost brother in Biloxi who is like looking in a mirror (at least one that shows a taller and thinner reflection). And since no one knows where Rusty came from, he may have relatives all over the place!
Hey Dave!
ReplyDeleteGood job on pulling Mom! Now, to make the game better, have her order some real sled dog harnesses--you would be surprised how much better you can pull with one of those on!(no pressure on your throat!) Let me know if you want to know the GRRReat place we get ours from! Who knows, maybe you will get to pull a real sled someday! Can't wait to see the rest of the pictures.
Love,
Skye & the Moondance Huskies
I used to pull hard like you guys do, but my Mom got upset about it, so now I walk very nice for a while, then L U N G E to the right, walk nice then Lunge to the Left. Sometimes go right into a shrub, ah, its fun, walking, isn't it? I love the pics of you and Ammy, Dave, and the Kansas Ocean too.
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Stella
I knew that cookies would work! It looks like you had a good time pulling your mom all over again! What is it you are always looking at across the ocean?
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a super game....I play it sometimes with my Mom when we are in unfamiliar places but I don't have a cool name for it. :) She doesn't seem to like it though. Great work posing! ;)
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Nala
That sounds like a fun game. And how nice that you get cookies on your walkies
ReplyDelete~ Bae
I wonder if my mum will take me to this ocean in KS....Maybe I will just go on my own...well, better not.
ReplyDeleteDeetzy
Oh wow.. cool game, i think we would like that one too..lol
ReplyDeleteWe love your posing photo's by the ocean. :-)
Holly & Zac...XX
Oh man! I wish I had been there. Pretending that Mom is a sled is my favorite game of all! Someday maybe I can come over and all three of us can play that game.
ReplyDeleteKat
The Sled Dog Game is so much fun. Especially when Mom gets all flustered and starts yelling things about getting Cocker Spaniels next. I don't quite get that.
ReplyDeleteECHO
You guys are cards. We hope you enjoyed your cookies ... um, posing and pulling. Sounds like fun.
ReplyDeleteI was checking through the internet for some information since yesterday night and I finally found what i was looking for! This is a magnificent website by the way, although it seems to be a little difficult to see in my android phone.
