Hi everypuppy and everykitty! It's me again - Amber! Today I wanted to tell you a little bit about the new ocean I discovered! It all started the afternoon of my birthday. Mom said, "Come on, Ammy!" and we went out and got in the car! I had a bit of trepidation at first because I thought maybe we were going to see our vets, but we headed a different way and Mom massaged my ears and said, "We're going to go have some fun, Am!" Oh, it was so exciting!
We did an even shorter drive than to go to the vets, then Mom parked and we got out. It was a park I'd never been to before! (Here's another link here.) There were tons and tons of new smells ... and as I showed you yesterday, an ocean! Here it is again:
It's over there!
Well, OK, based on Stormy's qualifier that if we can see across it, it's not really an ocean, it might not exactly be one... but it's still exciting. Mom and I walked all the way around it and I snoofed sooooo many things!
I checked for sharks and other fishies over on this side of the ocean.
Ha roo?
I didn't see any, but then I saw a sign over along the other shoreline that I wanted to go check out.
Ooh, let's go over there!
You all know what I'm checking for; there's no need to mention it here.
I didn't see any of the ducks or geese the sign mentioned, but I most certainly checked for signs they had been there! :)
We also saw this thing called a "dock". It looked a bit like the Trippy-Trap Bridge to me, but I wanted to check it out anyway.
Let's try it out!
We went out on the "dock" and it went up and it went down and it went back and it went forth and the boards said, "Creeeeeeek" (Marvin... I know what you're thinking - it's an OCEAN, not a CREEK!) ...
...and Mom said, "Oh! Let's go back up onto the shore!" She seemed in a hurry. I have no idea why. Maybe she doesn't like Trippy-Trap Bridge type things, either!
It was a great adventure and a very fun thing to do on my birthday! Thanks for coming along with me!
Love,
Ammy
"Creeeeeek" is not good when there is water below, Ammy, so Mom made a good decision. That looks like a great park to visit. Too bad the geese didn't leave woo any evidence:-)

What a great afternoon. Alone time with your mom and a new exciting place. You were a very brave girl to want to go out on the dock. Eva tells me that things that move can be scary.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Brice
P.S. Maybe you have really good vision and that is why you can see across the ocean.
Thanks for the hug - the bipedlet says thank woo furry much - she is so thrilled to be five!!!
ReplyDeleteDave, go for the true colors - woo and Mom will do great.
Woos, the OP Pack
Sounds like woo had a furry nice birthday adventure, Ammy. Your ocean is furry pretty, even if it's not quite as big as our ocean. Woo are brave to go out on the creeky dock, but I don't walk on stuff that moves & sways, I make my bipeds carry me over stuff like that!
ReplyDeleteWoos,
Star
You had a great day, Ammy! That ocean and the smells must have been so exciting! Maybe you can go again and actually see the birds!

Oh, dear Ammy, you have the best adventures. That ocean looks like the one in our park. When the weather gets warmer and the snow melts, mom says we'll have an ocean in our backyard. It usually looks like a big mud puddle to me - perfect for romping in and getting all muddy!
ReplyDeleteBacci sends his thanks to Dave for the quilt assistant advise.
Love and smooches, Shiloh
What?
ReplyDeleteNo Starbukhks?
Or should I say StarWoos?

PeeEssWoo: I knew what woo were snooting fur!
I too would have been sniffing around for that special treat birds leave behind. Thanks for sharing your birthday trip with us. =)
ReplyDeleteAmber, don't believe Stormy! Your ocean is a lot bigger than his!!!! And verybeautiful too. We bet you had lots of fun in that park :)
ReplyDeleteHi Ammy!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a wonderful day with your mom! It's too bad you didn't get to see any sharks, fishies or birds. Maybe next time!
: ) Tibby
Hey Ammy, you're an Explorer Pup now!
ReplyDeleteHuffle Mawson
Happy Birthday...What a glorious thing for your mum to do for you...did you see any sharks? That was the most beautiful ocean I have ever seen, ever! Really, I swear.
ReplyDeleteDeetzy
Thank you for sharing your great adventure with us! I love looking for bird evidence! I try to sniff the evidence the duck and chicken leave behind, but mom and dad put a fence up so I can't get to them. :(
ReplyDeleteMochi
Even if it isn't an ocean it looks like lots of fun. Maybe you can go for a swim next time if the weather warms up...

Looks like a lovely ocean, Ammy....spoilsport geese not leaving you any poops to sniff....or roll in, BOL! We never get within a mile of goose goodies and seagull poop is SO bland *sigh*
ReplyDeleteSlobbers xx
Its booootiful! Much clearer than the 'oceans' we have where we live!
ReplyDeleteHappy Barkday!
;o)
M & I
Woo,looks as though woo had fun visiting your ocean. Docks are not so bad, they are fun places where I nap when the boat isn't moving. People pet me, tell me how pretty I am, I like docks.... no falling off though, Scampi did once, he looked like a drowned rat!
ReplyDelete-Kira The Florida Siberian
Fun day you had Ammy, your Ocean looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHolly & Zac...XX
It was a very special adventure for sure. You guys sure do have a lot of oceans there, I have heard that Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes, is Kansas the land of 10,000 oceans??
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean....signs of geese are the best. ;) Don't tell my MOm I said that though. :)
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Nala
It was very nice of your Mom to take you on such a great birthday adventure! Great pictures of you exploring too!
ReplyDeleteThat sure is a fun adventure you had on your birthday Amber. ;)
ReplyDelete~ Bae
You have the most beautiful oceans in Kansas, Ammy!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Happy, happy barkday, Amber! We are sooooo glad you had a great day!
ReplyDeleteAire-hugs,
Poppy, Penny & Patches
Happy Barkday Ammy! Looks like you had a wonderful day. Shame you didn't find the evidence of the geese! Next time maybe!
ReplyDeleteLove Scott xx
hey Amber, how come you can read my mind?
ReplyDeleteI wondered what you did to make the ducks and geese angry though?
Because I notice the sign you were looking at says "Help Keep Them Wild". I wondeer what you did to make them wild?
Your park looked the best fun, and I loved your sunshine too.
And your own special ocean too!
lotsaluv, Marvin xxxxx
I also meant to bark, what a lovely birthday treat you had with your Mum, except I don't think my Jeannie would be too keen on the trippy trappy bridge either!
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's not an ocean since Stormy said so, but it could be a "sea". You know, like the Black Sea or the Caspian Sea. Only this is the Kansas Sea. Or maybe since you discovered it, it should be the Ammy Sea.
ReplyDeleteKat
I love this... thank you for sharing some warm thoughts. IT is sooo cold in my neck of the woods. I would love to take my Olivia out for a walk with you and your pups.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday - GOD BLESS YOU!
What an awesome birthday adventure!! I can't wait to see what appears in your ocean when it gets warmer. Maybe there's an Octopus in there!
ReplyDeleteECHO
That was FUN! You got some great sniffs on that trip, Ammy. Your mom knows just what makes a Sibe happy, doesn't she?
