There we were, driving and driving. Once we got on the other side of town and kept going, I knew there could only be one place we could be headed - to see my friend Sandy! I was so excited!
As soon as we got there, I checked to see if she was there!
"Sandy! Are you here?!? It's me - Zim!" |
"Ha roooo?!?" |
No response. Hmm. I looked all over the place for her.
"Ha roo in there!?!" |
No luck. I checked over by the water feature ...
"Sniff... sniff... must not get my feety-feet wet... sniff..." |
I picked her scent up, but it seemed old.
That was about when my friend Tara came over to greet us and to help Mom find what she was looking for - and she let me know that Sandy was away on vacation. Or a business trip. I can't remember, but she wasn't there! Rats!
Not wanting to waste a really cool car ride, I shook off my disappointment and did some exploring.

"Check these out, Mom!" |
For the record, Mom really liked those large river rocks and I think we should go back and get some. Oh. You know. In Dad's SUV instead of the sports car. It would just be a coincidence if Sandy was back from her trip.
Moving right along...
I thought we should check out this area:
"Hmmm!" |
I promised to be on my best behavior and got the green light to proceed! Take a look at what I saw:
"Fishies!" |
Aren't they cool?!? I sat there and watched them for a good, long while! It was very relaxing. I think Mom should make a cool fish pond like that for us - don't you? And of course, that might require multiple trips out to Sandy's place for supplies and all...
I struck one more pose for Mom before we headed back home:
The money shot! (Maybe even more so, if I had been looking at the camera...) |
I'm sorry I didn't get to see Sandy, but I did have a great time anyway! It was great fun to do some exploring, Tara is always very kind to us, and Mom got some new plants to put in our garden. What a great trip!
Thanks for asking, Cindy!

Zim

I also love to sit by a stream and watch fishes swim, very calming. Too bad Sandy was not there but I am sure you will meet her soon. We love to see you pose, very photogenic and studly!!!!! You got to snatch our alpha male award, please. No man-dog more qualified than you ;)

we bet Sandy was sorry she missed you. we were a little confused when we saw the fishes only sign by a bunch of bushes until we saw the pond....that would be cool in your backyard!!
ReplyDeleteBoy, they're sure exclusionary around there. Mountain goats only, fishies only. Where's the dogs only sign?!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very cool place. I like the fishies spot best. But as you may have heard I am a fishing dog now. I also think MOm should put a fishing thingy in our yard so I can practice.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
Good to hear that friend, Sandy, was just away on a trip....we were worried there for a second.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you going to do with the stone this time?

That looks like a great place to explore! I don't think I've ever see many fishes. I wonder if I could catch them like a grizzly bear!

Are you saying that humans shouldn't use their cars like trucks? Mine do and I keep telling them that trunks should not be filled with loose mulch...it should be in bags.
ReplyDeleteCrazies.
Your adventure looks really cool. Too bad you didn't see your girlfriend heehee.
Nora
Sorry you missed Sandy... butt I gotta agree with you... a Fishie Pond would be super in you yard fur SURE.
ReplyDeleteNow Zim and Dave.. about this HILL thingy... I think there are LOTS of hills.. I can see TWO from my yard... and SARGE... well he REALLY lives on a HUGE hill... that is really a small mountain.
We hope Sandy is there next time you go back to get the supplies for the fish pond! You are getting a fish pond aren't you?
ReplyDeleteI would like it very much if you got some fishies. They are very tasty, I mean fun!
