Where Was I?

Ha roo, pups and cool-cats, it's me - Zimmie!  Before I get started today, Dave asked me to give a great big "thank woo" from him to all of you for the wonderful Dave-a-versary wishes!  He had a mighty fun day and will tell you all about it on Thursday.  That's another big day around here!  Ha roo!

Now where was I?  Oh, yeah!  Discovering the ocean!

Wowzers!

As I said, Ammy and I had hooked Mom up and we walked and walked and walked.

Me and Ams

Before I knew it, we had stumbled onto the most incredible thing - the ocean!  I just knew that's what it had to be!  I've read about it on so many of your blogs and thought oceans just sounded like the coolest, most fun things ever!  I've been wanting one of our own here in Kansas (along with some mountains - wouldn't that be great?) and HAROO!  There it was!

Ammy and I couldn't believe our eyes!

Look, Am!  The ocean!

Oh, Zimmie!  It's beautiful!  Our very own ocean!

She thought we should let Stormy and Dave know.  Fortunately, Mom had her iPhone, so we zipped them off an email.  I sent this picture and gave them the news!

Message to Storm and Dave:  Hey roo guys!  Am and I discovered the Kansas Ocean.

Unfortunately, being the Road Scholar that she is, Storm had some news of her own.  She said if we can actually see across it, as it appears in the photo, it's probably not reeeeeeeeally an ocean.

Oh.

Storm thought it was a cool discovery anyway, though, and commended us for finding it.

It could have been the ocean, though... don't you think, Ammy?
Oh, yes, Zim.  And it IS pretty!

I figured we should head on out of there; I was kind of disappointed.

Let's go, Yams.

Ammy's always real positive about things and said that it WAS a cool discovery and that maybe we'd see something else really cool as we looped on around toward the house.

Zimmie, I just know we'll find something else really exciting!

She's a real cool sister, you know?  And you know what else?  We did find something that totally captivated my interest on the way home!  Tune back in tomorrow to hear about that part of our adventure!

Play bows,
Zim

  1. Hang in there Zims. It was pretty cool, even if its not the ocean. You have such sweet sisters, (and brother), and THAT'S pretty cool just on its own!

  3. I wish it was the ocean so that I could have come down for a romantic stroll along the sunset shore with Ammy. Of course we would be properly chaperoned by our Moms.

Maybe you'll have better luck finding mountains.

    Love,
    Brice

  4. Never mind, at least you tried!

The ocean is not all it is cracked up to be, the first time I saw it, I tried to drink it.

Far too much seasoning in the water. Someone should have gone easy on the salt in my opinion.

Looking forward to finding out more about what you discovered tomorrow!

  7. Zimmy, we are sorry it wasn't an ocean but we hear the ocean can be a little cranky at times and hits you with waves. That said, it was a very cool discovery! We can't wait to hear about the other discovery too!

  12. aw, what a shame that is not the ocean after all. Oceans is really just big big puddles I think, so it still a kind of an ocean, just a littler big puddle. I can see land at my ocean, mum say it be the isle of man. BOL! It look a very pretty place to walk anyways.

  16. Hi Zim!
That was a wonderful discovery! It sure looks like an ocean to me! I saw an ocean like that once but The Owners kept calling it a "pond". Weird. Anyways, I can't wait to see what else you found!

  19. It's a good thing that Stormy is so smart. I am sorry that it is not the ocean but I think you might want to get a second opinion. It might be the ocean. Look for fishes. If it has fishes it the ocean.

  20. Well, even it isn't a real ocean it is a lot of water to play in. It is a cool discovery. As for the mountains in Kansas, I don't think you are going to find any of those either. It might be time for a road trip west to Colorado!

  24. Hey Zim!
What you found is definately much safer than the ocean! At least there is no sharks in there. No many waves for boogey boarding either though :(
