Last week, I showed you two of our lilac varieties - the Old Fashioned and the Skidmore. This week, our two other varieties have bloomed, so here they are, as promised!
First up, the Dwarf Korean Lilacs. We have three of these bushes right by the garage door we go in and out of about a million times a day, so we enjoy their fragrance a lot!
Don't you want to just stick your snooter in there and smell them?
Mmm! Heavenly!
As you can see, they are lighter in color than the varieties I showed you on Sunday.
Also lighter is the other lilac that came into bloom this week, the Miss Kim Lilac. Here is what they looked like on Thursday:
...and here they are today!
Let's go in for a close up!
Aren't they a lovely lavender color? They are especially fragrant; we can smell their blossoms from all the way up on the upper deck. Here's what they look like from there:
If you could turn to the right a bit in the picture above, just on the other side of the fence are the Snowball Viburnum I mentioned last week. They're nice and white now! Check 'em out!
Have a Serene Saturday!

Storms

Hi Stormy,
ReplyDeleteI think those flowers look very nice. You and the rest of the AO4 have obviously been hard at work to maintain your garden. Have you tried eating any of these plants?
Ozzie
Great Lilac's I sure wish I had smelloscreen.
ReplyDeleteWe do question all of your Siberian pedigree. Where are the Siberian holes? The special landscaping? Should we send Ozzie to help out?
ReplyDeleteAll the flowers look soooo beautiful! I bet it does smell like heaven! I would love to lay in the sun and enjoy all the fragrances of each. Woo, I would do that for hours!

Woos, the OP Pack
I just love the smell of lilacs and frequently go outside and sniff ours since flowers in the house with cats doesn't really work.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a pretty garden... How come you don't destroy it?
ReplyDeleteBig licks to you

Woooo, gorgeous photos....Lilac is one of Mum's favourites....she used to have a dwarf lilac in the garden. Alfie dug it up. She rescued it from his jaws and replanted it. Then he ate it. She says she's not bitter. We think she is! She'll just have to enjoy the lilac on blogs for now!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, special day tomorrow? Be there or be square? We're not square....so see ya tomorrow!
Slobbers xx
Our rhodies are about to bloom. Mom wants to take my picture with them, so I'll share with you!
