Dakota of the OP Pack

Our hearts and prayers go out to our dear friends at The Chronicle of Woos, who had to say good-bye to their sweet Princess Dakota. If you haven't already done so, please stop by their blog and let them know you're thinking about them.

"...The only thing worse than the pain of losing a loved one is the pain of never loving or being loved in the first place. In a way, the pain of grief is a gift to us because it is evidence of the presence of love..."

To the OP Pack Mom and Dad, and to Thunder and Phantom - thank you for letting us get to know Dakota. This sweet, beautiful girl touched a lot of lives and hearts, as do the rest of you.

Rest in peace, Dakota. And know that you will always be very well-loved.

The Ao4 and our parents.

  11. My J is feeling sad tonight, we love the OP Pack, and we loved Dakota, even writing the word "loved" makes my J have those wet tracks down her wee face.

We have been away from the blogs for one reason and another, and now feel bad because we didn't realise this tragedy had happened.

    life is not fair.

feeling sad and most teary today.

  12. Thank you for telling us about Princess Dakota in this sweet post. We did not know her but we do know how hard it is for people to say goodbye to us.

Mom says every time she loses someone it hurts very much like her heart is breaking. She has decided it means her heart is getting bigger so another new beastie can come in and have enough room.
