Ha roo, pups and kits-cats. Zimmie here with Serene Scenery Sunday. Today's photos center around our garden - how about we get started?
After some of the wild, wild weather we've had lately, this skyline made everyone around here feel peaceful!
Guess what's still alive and kicking out there? The volunteer pansy!
Mom said it's doing better than if she had actually planted it on purpose. Pansies make her very serene. To see more pix of this one, please feel free to visit our FlickR album.
Our honeysuckle has also been blooming and smells incredible! Here's a look at a couple of those blooms.
There was a funny story about our great-sisters continually trying to munch on some honeysuckle along one of their walking routes. Mom finally had to ask the vets if there was anything harmful; they said there wasn't, but they couldn't understand WHY they'd try to eat it. Isn't it clear? They were Siberian Huskies. Ha roo roo roo! Enough said.
We are very excited that our Sunburst Hypericum is starting to bloom already! There are two "flowers" on the bushes; here's a look at one bloom:
Pretty cool, isn't it? And here's a look at the other bloom!
Mom loves these and says they're like a whole bush of marigolds. Whatever. I like it when they get bees all over them and the whole bushes are buzzing!
And lastly, here's a shot of me enjoying life, relaxing on the deck, contemplating life.
Take time to take it all in, pups and kit-cats. Find your inner serenity!
Before I close, on behalf of the Ao4, I'd like to wish all dads - and especially ours! - a very happy Father's Day! Do something serene today!
Play bows,
Zim

We're gonna give our dad some extra snuggles today - he ended up having to go into wrrrk! That stinks. So, until he comes home, we're gonna be as serene as we can be and help him be serene after he gets home.
ReplyDeleteZimmie, have you tried yoga? Mom says I do an amazing downward dog! HA Roo Roo!
Shiloh
Beautiful sky and flowers today! And it's good that you are resting today Zim after your guard duty!
ReplyDeleteHappy Father's Day to your dad!
We all like to eat the honeysuckles at our house...well, all the canines do. Maybe I need to ask a doctor why my Human won't do it.
ReplyDeleteBeaWOOtiful pikhs as usual!
ReplyDeleteI've seen khwite a few of the feline blogs mentioning eating the honeysukhkle too! Mom rekhalls once upon a time when she was a pup, they used to get the good goo out of the flowers!

Happy Father's Day!

Lovely flowers! I feel very serene now. Mum wasn't feeling so serene at 1am when I was playing with one of my mouses downstairs. It has a bell in it like the wubba.

Mom says that when she was a girl the she used to eat honeysucklle too! It grew all over the fence at the back of the playground. All the kids ate it, nobody died. Nuff said.

Hmmm... I try to garden around here but everything seems to be eaten or run-over and squished. No one will admit who the culprits are, but I often see little paw prints all around. They try to blame the rabbits, but I know better!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful garden!
BOOTIFUL photos of the flowers! We don't have such lovely scenery around here. Happy father's day!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Zim! I do like feeling Serene. And I almost received the Name Pansy from my Scribe but did not. A Lovely flower, such that it would be too much Honor to share its Name. Tansy is also the name of a flower, a wild yellow one I feel akin to at times.
ReplyDeleteSoft barks,
Tansy
Your garden is beautiful. Your mom must have a green paw.

Mom is IN LOVE with the pansy photo in the rocks. She said you need to turn that into stationary!
