We did a whole month-long Sunday Salute to our great sisters back in April, but we scanned in some really cool pictures of them we haven't shared yet. This seemed like the perfect time to let you see some great action shots of Jesse and Lucky!
These are shots from the training facility for the Military Working Dogs at SHAPE HQs in Belgium. A lot of you do agility or do cool training, so we thought you might be interested in seeing the paces a very cool RAF Sergeant put Jesse and Lucky through! In his spare time, he offered some obedience classes to the bipeds assigned to SHAPE (and Heaven knows, ours STILL need all the obedience work they can get! Ha roo roo roo!) and let the pups blow off some energy on the Military Working Dogs' obstacle course! Without further ado....
Here's Lucky, jumping through a window to save someone!
Doesn't she look COOL!??! And here's Jesse, making her way across a VERY high log to make a rescue!
Bill, the RAF Sergeant, didn't think the bigger dogs would be able to do this; he was very impressed with the girls!
Here's Lucky, coming off a similar obstacle!
Both of them liked going through the window thingy! Here's Jesse:
Followed closely by Luck:
Here's another round with Lucky - look closely through the window! One of the RAF working dogs is checking her out! Ha roo roo roo!
You may have noticed the girls are on-lead. Even though the working yard was fenced in, Mom and Dad needed to "focus" where they'd go. Sort of like with us in our backyard. There was one obstacle they really loved - it was a group of oil cans that were laced together. The challenge was to climb up there at a run, then come down. Jesse and Lucky loved getting up there, it was a breeze for them ... but once there, they had a great view into where the RAF working dogs were kennelled... and ... well, it was a bit distracting. :) Here's a look:
Jesse: Hey, Lucky, look! We can see those handsome working dogs!
Lucky: Oh, yeah! I think that Yellow Lab has a crush on me!
Dad: Jesse... come on down! Come on, Jesse!
Mom: Lucky? Lucky??
Ha roo roo roo! Here's another great one of Lucky training Mom:
The conversation went something like this:
Mom: Over, Luck!
Lucky: No.
Mom: C'mom, Luck! Over!
Lucky: Not gonna happen.
Mom: Jesse just did it! You've done it before! You LOVE this one!
Lucky: I don't feel like it.
Mom: Please?
Lucky: No.
How can you do anything other than totally admire BOTH of our great sisters?!? We salute them!
The Ao4
They are so cool! Of course, they are huskies, so they can't cooperate 100% of the time ;)
ReplyDeleteVery cool, your Great Sisters were very talented and agile. So smart to stay on top of the barrels too.

That looks like fun. Jan says we should send Buddy and Sam, but we don't think they'd even let them on the property since they have their own opinions on what they will or won't do.
ReplyDeleteDrop by and pick up your award.
I wish I could train my mum like that.

ReplyDeleteI am saluting your Sisters while typing this comment, so you may get a few typos coming your way, being without opposable thumbs and all!
ReplyDeleteYour Sisters are really cool!
I would really like to see some videos of the Bi Peds getting their obedience training.
I think my Bi Ped is untrainable........
