One of the great parts about living in the Flint Hills is getting to the top of a hill and enjoying the view! Check this out:

...that's Colbert Hills Golf Course. Dad is anxious for some warmer, drier weather so he can get back out there and play!
Anyway, we did some more up and down the hills action, then Mom said Ammy should get us boys in line and herd us on homeward. Mom got out in front of us for this shot:

we walked downtown in the rain tonight. it was a light rain. and in the dark, all the old craftmen and victorian houses were lit up and looked warm inside. just like you said: it beat the blahs!

Speaking of golf courses, I was thinking the other day that maybe Stormy could add a golf class to the School of Siberian Studies. My mom's coworkers make golf comments and jokes all the time and my mom doesn't get them, so I would like to enroll her in the class.
