Looking High and Low

Ha roo, pups and cool cats!  It's me, Zim!  I know I told you yesterday about going on wildflower shoots with my mom lately - but we're still out birding, too!  And you never know WHAT you'll see when you go out birding - that's the beauty of it.  Sometimes it's cool birds, sometimes it's wildflowers ... and sometimes you get surprised!  The other day, we drove over to the Kansas Ocean to see what was shaking.

"Ha roo?  Duck friends?  Mr. Heron?  Ha roooo???"

Sadly, none of my duck friends have been there in a long time. They must have gone back to where they spend their Summers. I wish them all safe travels!

Anyway, the ocean is the obvious place to check for birds, of course, but they're really everywhere! As I've been teaching Cam, you have to look high and low!

Look high and you might see:

Barn Swallow

European Starling (a puppy one)

American Crow

Look low and you might see:

Lark Sparrow

And sometimes you might get surprised!

Bunny ears!

"Surprise!"

Isn't that cool!?!  You just never know what you're going to see!

"Don't say it, Cam.  Don't even think it!"
"But ... but ..."
"Cammie!"
"I'm trying, Zim.  Really, I'm trying."

Keep your eyes peeled on your walks and you just never know what you'll see!  Remember to look high and low for the beauty all around you!
