The big news out there this week is that our friend Bart is back!
"Good eeeeeevening!" |
Bart the Bat spends his Summers with us, living on the underside of our upper deck. (For some back-story to him, please click here. Mom even named one of her bags after him!) Anyway - hi, Bart! Welcome home and please eat lots of mosquitoes!!!
Down to the yard we go!
Run and stretch! |
All the sedum plants I showed you before are looking good - and look at how tall the Blue Dune Grass is!
I've pretty much learned not to jump off the retaining walls now. But did you notice the training lead? Apparently there are rules about going under the lower deck and behind the bushes.
"Hello!" |
Yes, like that. We aren't supposed to do that. Who knew? My brothers are right, though. Doing a cute pose afterwards erases it from Mom's mind. Like this:
Or this:
Oh, those are the lavender plants down there. Want to go check them out?
There is a pink one, then there are some purple ones! They've taken off like crazy this year, so Mom is very happy!
Here I am, looking at the lavender from another angle.
No, of course I wasn't thinking about jumping off the retaining wall! How could you even think that?
Here is the Creeping Red Thyme:
It's pink. I just don't get that!
Behind me is the Butterfly Weed! Let's turn around, then sit and admire it for a minute.
You can click here for a close-up, if you'd like.
Oh. Ready to move along?
Let's go!
Here's a close-up of one of our Day Lilies:
Just up from where those are is a pretty Fountain Grass:
Mom asked me to pose for a couple portraits, so I did this:
Mom thought I looked toasty and suggested we should head inside.
I hope you feel nice and serene after touring our back yard! One more pose ...
... and it's time to head into the air-conditioning for a drink of water and a nap!
Stay cool and stay serene!
Camo!
Thanks for the tour around your yard Camo. It sure is beautiful...just like you.

Cam-a-Roo you are getting real good at giving these serene tours. Nicely done girl. But ya know as beautiful as the yard and plants are, and they are, they just don't compair to you.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
Oh Dog! Mom says Camo has great gait and she knows just how to do the "show stack"...pawsome!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful yard! Our Mom is horticulturally challenged, so we just have to admire the gardens of others. And yes, your brothers are right - cute poses generally ease any broken rules!

The only thing prettier than all the flowers in your garden is you!
ReplyDeleteBart is kinda creepy looking but we're glad he's back to eat up the bugs. We enjoyed your tour around the yard Camo! You're so cute, we bet you get away with just about everything!
ReplyDeleteThat was a pawsome tour and thank you Camo! Mommy is totally jellies of your yard, it is so beautiful. I did have to peel her off the ceiling when she realized what the first picture was. I keep telling her about the bugs that bats eat, but she still squeals. The flowers are so pretty and you are so good at posing like a model.

your yard looks great, Camo! you have so many pretty plants. We're glad to see that Bart is back. We sure could use the likes of him here - the bugs in the summertime are nasty! (thankfully we kitties don't have to deal with them much in the house :))
