Vacuum Tutorial

Woo, everypup and everycat.  It's me, Dave.  This morning I've been working hard on teaching my little sister how to respond when Mom gets the vacuum out.  It's pretty much a daily occurrence here, so  we need to be really good about it.  Mom shot some pix with her iPhone while I was giving Cammie my tutorial, so I thought I'd share it with you.  Ready?

"Davy!  Mom's coming right at us with the Dyson!  What should I do?"
"Ignore her, Cam!  She'll see how comfy you are and will go run the vac somewhere else."

"Hi, Mom.  Davy said I don't have to move."

That's not exactly what I said ...

"Um... hi, Mom."

OK.  I might need to tweak this a bit; it doesn't seem 100% effective.  I'll get back to you.

Luv,
Dave

  1. I like your strategy.

Just wait until your mom gets one of those robo vacuums. It has NO boundaries and likes to get me all the time. It's the rudest thing ever.

  4. We don't really react when the vacuum comes out either. Sometimes we move to another room, but we are not scared of it.

  6. Hi there, Hunter moves when I have the monster out but he isn't fearful of it. I used to vacuum every day but now that we don't have a dog that sheds I don't have too. Next house, I hope, has hardwood throughout.

  7. Your mom vacuums every day? OMC! She obviously needs to go on more walks instead of running that scary thing!

  10. Vacula is more annoying that skeery, but I still prefer it to stay OUT of my space! Momma uses it to get all my fur off the sofa when I've been working SO HARD to put it there just right!

  11. Hmmm. I run away from the vacuum. What if it tries to eat me?

  12. mol! now if that were us, we'd head for higher ground...you need to jump on the chair, Dave! (nevermind that "not allowed on the furniture" rule...there are always exceptions in emergencies such as this...)

  15. I don't move either. I make them vacuum around me. Especially if I'm on my cold air vent!

  16. Stand your ground Dave and Cam-a-Roo. I DO NOT budge. My MOM must vacuum around me. I just lay, sit or stand there. I will not be intimidated by the vacuum.
