Here's a collage Mom did of a walk from a couple mornings ago:
Me and Camo out on a road march |
See that shot in the upper right corner? Mom wanted to take a close-up of those yellow flowers. Cam and I were helping - Sibe-style!
OK. On one route we take, there is this huge hill to climb.
Cam and me hoofing it up the hill |
Here's Cam, nearing the top:
She looks serious, doesn't she? Well, it's a serious climb.
Up near the crest is a retaining wall that gets taller and taller and taller.
Me and the short part of the retaining wall |
I told Cam some Ao4 history pertaining to retaining walls. Stormy told me that great brother Booter told her about a wall like that in Korea. It was real high, though - maybe 6-8 feet high. From a stand-still, a stand-still, Booter flexed his knees and sprang right up on top of the wall!!! Stormy said Boots surprised the daylights out of Mom and totally impressed her with his athleticism.
"Wow, Zimmie! Even higher than this one! That's amazing!" "Yep. Us members of the Ao4 have a history of great feats!" |
It's cool filling her in on all the rich history of the Ao4.
Speaking of cool ...
"Hmm..." |
Nah. I didn't. I thought about it, but I didn't. I liked the cool, wet pavement, though.
Here's Cam again, up near the top of the next hill:
Mom was trying to get her to pose with our water tower in the background. Close enough! We were ready to conquer that hill, get home, and take a water break! Want to see a special effects photo Mom did with that shot? Check it out:
Cammie stepping into the Little Apple! |
Pretty cool, don't you think? Oh, sure, yeah - the effect's cool. I meant my sister, though. Ha roo roo roo!
Play bows,

Super fun!
ReplyDeleteI've been taking Mrs. Master on scooter rides since it's been so cool lately.

Hi there, Love the pics from your walk. It is all I can do to make sure Hunter behaves well(no growling or barking at others)so don't think I could get pics too. Your mom is so talented.
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a blast today! No fireworks though.

What a fun walk you both had.

I like going on walks with you Zim. You show us so many neat things. I have a great place to walk. My mom and nana take me on dirt roads around the cranberry bog across the street.
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the fireworks. We have already had some the other night. I stuck close to my nana.
Long walks are the BEST way to prepare for kerazy events coming up like the Fourth. I don't mind loud noises, but people go a little nuts with it sometimes!
ReplyDeletewe are a little worried about all that racket coming up also, cos we only live a few blocks from the river and that is where the city shoots them off....you guys sure enjoy those long walks!

Enjoy your walks and hope there are not too many boom, booms right up close. Stay calm pals. Have a terrific Tuesday.
ReplyDeletebest wishes Molly
Wonder if that wall came from across the oceans too. We don't like those boomers. Mom blasts the TV
ReplyDeleteSnorts,

yow, Zim! all of your road marching did make us feel more relaxed. That's our kind of exercise :D so far our neighborhood has been quiet - paws crossed it continues. At least for Thursday and Friday Wriggley will be sure to take mom on walkies in the morning only. Stay safe!

Good job helping your mom take a photo of the flowers! We like how you highlighted the Wildcat! Booter must have been pretty incredible but then again, all of you in the Ao4 are!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like hot work climbing up that hill. Want to come over for a swim in my pool?
ReplyDeleteThat sister of yours is indeed pretty cool. OK Ok, I just had to add, although you may not of meant it this way butt.. I took the line "Us members of the Ao4 have a history of great feats!" As FEETS. hehhehe made me think of Dave.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
