Mom wasn't sure how I'd react to everything, since she'd never taken me to a rodeo before. We walked past where a bunch of the horses were relaxing - this one was Mom's favorite:
Mom wanted to get some more pix of the horses, all the while carefully gauging my reaction.
"Yeah, whatever. Horses." |
"What do you mean, 'Yeah, whatever. Horses.'? We're HORSES!" |
Mom was surprised. I was very calm around the horses and really didn't think they were a big deal at all! My friend Lisa back at Polargold Siberians reminded her later that they have horses back where I was born and raised. Mom said that explained a lot.
"Sorry, you guys! No offense or anything!" |
But then! Do you see it? In that photo directly above, under my leash! Yes, we can all see that it's a stick! But Mom sort of tripped over it while trying to shoot a picture, it MOVED, "someone" got a case of the heebie-jeebies because of what she thought it was for a second there and jumped. (You know -- click here.) I reacted swiftly, in an attempt to save my mom!
HA! No sneaky-snake is going to scare my mom and get away with it! Or any sticks, either! Mom said I was very brave!
Those are the highlights from my adventures at the rodeo. I hope you liked coming with us!

We like horses! They are just big dogs! (Or so we've been told...) And quick thinking, saving your Mom from that stick! You are awesome!

OH Good job saving your mom! There should never ever be snakes at rodeos. I think it's even illegal.
ReplyDeleteSick.
Nora

We too like horses. Nice job at the rodeo Camo. Maybe next year you can go with Zim too. Pawsome job protecting mum from that sneaky stick. Have a marvellous Monday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Maybe you have a little Zim Zen in you too Camo! Our mom would have squealed if she saw that snakey stick!
ReplyDeleteI met a horsie once and he was so big and friendly! Molly hasn't met any horses yet.
ReplyDeleteNice job saving your mom from that evil stick, Camo!
Love ya lots♥

Your mum should give you extra treats for saving her from a fate worse than death.
ReplyDeleteSeriously.
Lovely horses. None of mine have been close to a horse. I'm curious as to how they would react. You were quite calm and composed around them.
ReplyDeleteBrave, beautiful and smart. Cam-a-Roo you are truly the total package. Good job on protecting the mom. That's our #1 job you know.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
Oh my word! Thank goodness you are not pawticipating

We've never seen big dogs like that although we have seen some deer in our yard and they are almost that big. Lucky for your mom you were there to save her from the vicious stick/snake.

Oooh, you saw the BIG doggies! How fun! I met a horse once, and I immediately play bowed and tried to get her to play with me. Momma didn't think that was a very good idea, but what does SHE know?!
