Today, I'm coming to you from our back yard. Ready for a little stroll in the garden?
I like to start over here, by the Fountain Grass under the Purple Ash Tree.
We were just getting started; I have the long lead on in case one of Zim's kit-cat friends is visiting or something.
There are some cool chunks of limestone under the tree that I like to pose on.
Have I mentioned that Mom had salmon treats in her pocket?
Will pose for salmon |
Over by the roses, I did my Serious Look:
Then, by the Coneflowers, I did my Not-Serious Look:
The Not-Serious Look is much more "me"!
Would you like to see the Purple Coneflowers? Here are a couple shots:
Oh! Let's go see how the D'Azulberry Sedum are doing!
"I know it's 'Dazzleberry' ... but I like my name better!" |
They're the sort of purply ones closest to me! They're going strong - and might bloom soon! You can see some other sedum right next to it - and down on the next tier, too! Speaking of the next tier down, let's run down there!
I like going down there to check on the daisies! Let's see how they're doing.
"BUG!" |
Oh, wait. I forgot. Mom has salmon.
Here's a daisy close-up for you!
I had nothing to do with the fact that the butterfly is missing parts of its wings! |
This is one of my favorite places in the garden to sit and contemplate the beauty around me. (Not to mention, I have a good view of Fluffy Black Cat's yard and the fields behind our house. You never know who could be out there!)
"Life is beautiful!" |
Oh, yeah! Remember the wall I didn't jump off the other day? You could kind of see the Crape Myrtle bushes on the last tier down from there. Let's take a look now!
Just for the record, I walked around! ...and got a salmon treat!
Anyway, here's a close-up of one of the Crape Myrtle branches:
They're just now starting to bloom, so we have lots of pinky goodness to look forward to!
I hope you feel nice and serene now! Thanks for walking around the garden with me!
