Toy Time!

Greetings to all, it's me, Maggie!  I thought you might like to see what I've been playing with lately, when I'm not out enjoying our snow. Now that I'm getting my big girl teeth, I like to chew ALL the time, as opposed to before when I wanted to chew when I wasn't napping. Hmm. I guess it's just that I'm not napping as much. At any rate ...

"Ready to take a look?"

Let's see what's in the toy box!

"SQUEAK!!!"

I like that ball a lot. It's squishy, yet sturdy, and squeaks louder than you can imagine. It's great!

"It requires two hands.  Errr... paws."

Quite durable. It's by Mighty Balls dog toys.

We also got a package from our Aunt Shelli. Well, technically, it was for Mom, but we knew Aunt Shelli would have something in there for us, too! Zim helped Mom unpack.

"It's from Aunt Shelli alright!  And there are things in here for us Sibes!"

I could have helped with that part! It's not like I'd chew the box up and swallow a bunch of cardboard or anything! (I have no knowledge of the chewed lower right-hand corner, nor of the wet marks at the bottom of said box.)

Moving right along, not only did Aunt Shelli send us some treats, but she sent fun toys, too! Cammie immediately made off with this one:

"I LOVE this toy!  Thank you, Aunt Shelli!"

Because Aunt Shelli and my mom refer to me for some strange reason as "The Energizer Bunny" (?), she also sent us a bun-bun! It was yellow and squishy and squeaked and was just so incredibly fun!!!

Oh. Yes. I did use the past tense there, didn't I? Someone committed bun-o-cide, but I can't comment.  The case is still under investigation.  The Case of the Shredded Bunny.  I'll let you know if I hear anything further.

Like Cammie, I also like the ball of rings:

It's very fun to chew on and to chase! For some reason, we don't have access to that one all the time. Nor to my Mighty Ball. Apparently, there are toys we can leave out and toys we can't. I have no idea why.

I also have no idea what happened to my Freeze'N Chew toy.

Most of our Kong toys are available to us whenever we want them.  Here I am, with my Kong ball:

"Hello."

It's very fun!  We have quite a variety of sizes and shapes.  Here's a look at some of them:

Me, with some of my favorite toys
Top to bottom:  Zim, the bone, my iPad, me with the dumbbell, the regular Kong, and the dental stick

For some reason, the black ones are holding up better than the red ones. I think my tire is missing from that shot and my Kong ball.  Sometimes Mom puts treats in the Kong toys and sometimes she doesn't. We also sometimes get poultry-flavored toothpaste in them! I like chewing on them whichever way! I just like to chew.

That's what we've been playing with lately!  What about you?  Do you have any favorite toys?

Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher

  2. I got some new toys for Christmas also and I really like them. I have a new squeaky alligator and a reindeer head and a stuffie hedgehog that makes a funny noise. I try to spend time with each of them until I get tired.

  5. We blame all stuffie deaths on the squirrels. I mean, it totally could happen. Bunicide, duckicide, random stufficide - the squirrels are definitely to blame! We have both red and black Kongs, because a certain sister of mine was once "an avid chewer" and the black ones do seem to hold up better... Luckily, Abby is not quite the mindless chewing machine that she used to be!

  9. Miss Maggie,
The urge to chew can be overwhelming during your teenager time. Even I, Dexter the good, would suddenly find a bit of carpet or furniture clenched between my teeth. So do be mindful of what you bitey.

    Kisses,
    Dexter

  11. Yeah...what's with that sometimes the toys are out and sometimes they aren't? I'll never understand the humans and their weird ways.
