Not Really Wordless Wednesday

Greetings to all - it's me, Maggie!  I'll try not to be too verbose, since we normally do a "Wordless Wednesday" post, but I must tell you a couple things!

First of all, remember just a short while ago when I mentioned my Lupine leash and their "guaranteed even if chewed" policy?  Well!  Mom mailed my chewed leash (I mean "allegedly chewed leash") to the good folks at Lupine on 30 December.  It was a discontinued pattern, so we weren't sure what would happen.  Guess what we got in the mail day before yesterday?!?

That's right! Not just a new leash, but they found it in the discontinued pattern!!! Oh, Lupine, thank you SO MUCH! What a great company to live up to its promise!

"I wonder if the tag is guaranteed even if chewed, too!"

Sorry.  I'm a puppy; it's what I do.

In other news, you all know about our really, really cold temps and all.  Not all of us were adversely effected by the weather!

"Ahhh, sweet bliss!"

I made a storm chaser's blog with that shot; scroll about 2/3 of the way through the pix at this link.  Thanks, Zach!

Here are some pix of me working on one of our really cool snow forts:

"Gotta pack it in a little bit here..."

"Halt!  Who goes there?!?!"

I also got to play on the upper deck:

"Wheee!"

... and the lower deck:

... and points in between!

Me and Squeaky Fish

How cold was it?  It was so cold that Squeaky Fish froze solid and couldn't squeak!!!

Since we have the "If a Sibe Is Outside, a Biped Is Outside" rule, I made sure to keep my mom actively involved in play so she wouldn't freeze!

"Tuggy, tug, tug, Mom!"

I also didn't bring toys back after she threw them, so she could get warm chasing me!

That's a wrap for now!

Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher

  1. wow - that is a great guarantee and company. :) when mom used to volunteer for a different group they used Kuranda beds for the dogs - similar guarantee. well, one of the pit mixes ate the bed. we sent pics and they sent us another bed (no, Bubba didn't get the new one)

Looks like fun in the snow... and good job keeping the mom warm!!

  4. You are sure having a great time playing outside in the cold temps, Maggie, and you're so smart to let your mom do all of the fetching!

  7. I'd have to impose a "If a biped is cold outside, all dogs inside" rule...

  9. Ooooh! We love companies with excellent service and fulfill their guarantees! Unfortunately the rule in our house is when the biped is cold, we have to go inside. Our Mom is such a dud!

  13. That was nice of that company to send you another leash! It was also nice of you to think of your mom and make sure she stayed warm by retrieving your toys for you!
