Bring Your Sibe To Work Day

Greetings to all, it's me, Maggie!  As many of you know, Friday was "Bring Your Dog To Work Day".  Now, we don't have dogs here at Ao4 Headquarters, but since Cammie and I are Siberians, we thought we should give it a try.  We already spend most of the work day with Mom, so I decided I should go downstairs to Dad's office (our dad works from home) and spend a little bonding time with him.  I have a few photos to show you how that all went; let's get to work!

When I first got there, I had a good look around:

"Hi, Dad!  How's it--ooh!  I didn't know you were teaching Poli Sci this semester!"

One of the college classes he's teaching right now is Political Science!  That's right up my alley!  I mean I am Polargold's Margaret Thatcher!  What a natural fit!

"Well, Dad, it's like my namesake always said, 'The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money.' Brilliant, don't you think?"

He seemed to appreciate my input.  I was hoping we'd do a webinar with his students or something.  Imagine - they could say they studied Poli Sci under Margaret Thatcher!  Alas, Dad didn't have anything like that scheduled.  I looked around a little more and found something else interesting - it was the latest edition of Imprimis:

"Is that an article about Winston Churchill?  I love Winston Churchill!"

I was a ton of help down there, but I think Mom must have missed me - she escorted me up the steps after not nearly enough down in Dad's office.  I was willing to cut Take Your Sibe To Work Day a little short - but I took Imprimis with me.

I thought I'd go lay down on the bed and read it for a while.

"Hi, Mom.  Just settling in to do a little light reading."

Just when I got settled in, Cam joined me.

"Hi, Cam.  I'm reading Imprimis.  Want to read with me?"

We decided to peruse it together.  Two heads are better than one, and all that.

"I found it in the office, Cam. "
"It looks good!"

"What?!?  I only need them when I read."

Did any of you get to participate in Bring Your Dog (or Your Sibe) To Work Day?  I hope you had as much fun as I did!

Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher

  1. Margaret T.,
Your dad's Students TRULY do NOT know WHAT they are missing out on. You simply MUST tell your dad that all of Blogville INSISTS he take you to "WORK" with him. It would be so..... CLASSY.

  2. Wow, Maggie! You did an awesome job helping your dad. Cam, those glasses make you look like a librarian - that's a compliment, by the way, cuz our mom is a librarian. It is good practice to keep up with the human's work so you can be of help when needed. Since dad is an accountant, I help dad count stuff all of the time. Chai's job seems to be quality control in the sewing studio. She takes frequent breaks however, cuz she is still a puppy. But mom says early training is important and I agree. Keep up the good work!

  8. Wowezers Cam-a-roo! I sure like you in those glasses. I get to go to work with my MOM a lot. Well at the church. I don't go as much at the homeless shelter. But I do go there when MOM is just volunteering and not working. I like reading to the little peeps. Let me know when you do that Webanar thingy. I would sign up for his class if you were the student teacher Mags.
