I did one-on-one playtime first! Mom brought out the Kong-on-a-Rope for us to play with. It is SO FUN!!! She can throw it pretty far, so I get to do lots of running!
"Got it, got it, GOT IT!!!" |
We played Traditional Rules Fetch on that middle tier for a while. It was great! Then we moved up to the top tier and played there for a while. After a few throws, Mom gave it a really big heave ... and it took a bounce on the brick pathway and ended up down on the middle tier.
"Hello???" |
I'm sure you're wondering if I just stood there and patiently waited for Mom to retrieve the Kong-on-a-Rope or if I leapt off the wall like I'm not supposed to do. Right? To paraphrase what my mom wrote on FaceBook, I'm a year and a half old Siberian Husky puppy ... what do YOU think I did?
Yeah. So after I ran back up with my toy, Mom threw it again. By that time, the Siberian spirit that thrives so fully in me decided it was time to switch to Siberian Rules Fetch!
"Wheeeee!!!!" |
It was great fun! The Kong-on-a-Rope is back there behind me somewhere. Mom policed it up after I finished zooming around!
After that, I hung out on the deck while Cammie had her special one-on-one time. She's not really into running around chasing toys, so she and Mom walked around looking at everything in the garden. Here she is, striking a pose by one of our big lilac bushes:
Cammie! |
She's very pretty, isn't she? Oh. You might be wondering why Cam, who usually does not have to wear the 30-foot lead is actually hooked up. It's because the last time Mom and Cam were in the yard together, this is who joined them:
Kit-cat in our fenced-in yard |
Cam had been off-lead about 5 seconds before Mom saw the kitty and some little voice in her head told her to hook Cam up. Good thing for the kit-cat Mom listened to the little voice. YIKES!
Anyway, after Mom and Cam walked around for a while, Cam came back over to the deck area ...
"Hey, Maggie! What are you doing up there?!?!" |
"Cammie! Come up and PLAY!" "OK!!!" |
Cam and I love playing together! I mean we love our one-on-one time with Mom, too, but ...
"Let's play!" "You're on!" |
... there's nothing quite like playing with your sister!
We had great fun, then went up on the upper deck to have coffee.
"You're not giving Maggie the coffee, are you?" "Espresso roast, please. Black, no sugar." |
No, I didn't get any coffee - that was for Mom. Coffee is on the VERY serious "no-no" list. The one we actually do listen to.
Do any of you have fun things you're doing now that it's Spring?!?
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
We are so enjoying our lovely weather. Crikey lucky kitty. Have a marvellous Monday.

Everything in your yard is already so pretty and green! And what fun you have fetching and then not fetching! Gotta keep your Mom on her toes!

Maggie - did you really JUMP all the way down to that tier???? That's a long way down. We would love to do zoomies too, much more fun than fetch:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Ciara and Lightning
What a fun day! I am very skilled at Siberian Fetch, too.
ReplyDeleteWe are so happy it is spring too. Today we were finally able to go out in the yard to play while dad did some yard work. The yard has finally dried out but of course we are getting rain soon.
ReplyDeleteOne on one time is very special indeed. I get that a lot. Kit-cat is very lucky.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
What a beautiful garden and what funs you had!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I drools at the puppicinos I also nose that coffee is a no, no for puppies! Doesn't stop me trying!
Loves and licky kisses

Oh my...your Spring routine sounds fabulous! Fetch, running and exploring the yard, then some sibling playtime and afterwards, a nice relax on the porch?!? Sounds brilliant! It's getting to hot here now...so our Spring routine is now less time outside for me. The South Florida heat and humidity is just too much.

I love spring! Momma and I go down to Auntie Amanda's every single weekend! While the peeps are out at their Renny-sauce fair, I get to play with my cousins!
ReplyDeleteyeah, make Maggie's coffee decaf :) You pups have a nice Spring routine and your weather looks beautiful. We are enjoying getting some fresh air out on our catio now and we are quick to run to the door once mom gets home in the afternoons.
